The Moderating Role of Cognitive Attribution on the relationship between Big Five Personality factors and Aggressive Behavior of Male Students to Familiar and Strange People:The “Interaction of Person

چكيده هدف: اين پژوهش با هدف بررسي نقش تعديل‌كننده اسناد شناختي در رابطه‌ي ميان پنج عامل بزرگ شخصيت با واكنش پرخاشگرانه دانش آموزان پسر به مرحله اجرا در آمد. روش: جامعه آماري پژوهش را دانش آموزان پسر يك دبيرستان تشكيل دادند كه از بين آنها 196 نفر به شيوه‌ي تصادفي طبقه اي انتخاب شدند. ابزارهاي پژوهش شامل پرسشنامه 50 سوالي پنج عامل بزرگ شخصيت، پرسشنامه 2 سوالي واكنش پرخاشگرانه و سه سناريو براي تحريك اسناد شناختي بودند. داده‌ها با استفاده از ضريب همبستگي پيرسون و تحليل رگرسيون سلسله مراتبي مورد تحليل قرار گر-فتند. يافته ها: نتايج حاصل از تحليل داده‌ها نشان داد كه اسناد شناختي موقعيتي رابطه برون گرايي و تجربه پذيري را با واكنش پرخاشگرانه به فرد غريبه تعديل مي‌نمايند. تحليل ساده شيب خط نشان داد كه در موقعيت اسناد شناختي خصمانه، برون گرايي با واكنش پرخاشگرانه داراي رابطه منفي و معنادار، اما تجربه پذيري با واكنش پرخاشگرانه به فرد غريبه در موقعيت خصمانه داراي رابطه مثبت و معنادار است. همچنين اسناد شناختي موقعيتي رابطه برون گرايي را با واكنش پرخاشگرانه به فرد آشنا تعديل مي نمايد. تحليل ساده شيب خط نشان داد كه در موقعيت اسناد شناختي خصمانه، برون گرايي با واكنش پرخاشگرانه به فرد آشنا داراي رابطه منفي و معنادار است. نتيجه گيري: نتايج حاصل از اين پژوهش نشان مي دهد كه ويژگي هاي شخصيتي نظير برون گرايي و تجربه پذيري با اسناد خصمانه در رابطه با واكنش پرخاشگرانه دانش آموزان پسر تعامل مي كنند.

Abstract Objective:The current research was done to investigate the moderating role of cognitive attribution on the relationship between big five personality factors and aggressive reaction of male students. Method:our target population was the male high school students, among which 196 subjects were selected using the simple random sampling method. Research instruments were: the 50 item- big five personality factor questionnaire, the 2 item-aggressive reaction questionnaire and three scenarios of stimulating cognitive attribution. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: Our results revealed that cognitive attribution moderates the relationship between extroversion and openness to experience and aggressive reaction of male students to strange people. Simple slope analysis showed that in the cognitive hostile attributive situation, there is significantly negative relationship between extroversion and aggressive reaction of male students to stranger people (P < 0.01). However, in the cognitive hostile attributive situation, there was a significantly positive relationship between openness to experience and aggressive reaction of male students to strange people(P < 0.01). Moreover, our findings demonstrated that cognitive attribution moderates the relationship between extroversion and aggressive reaction of male students to familiar people. Simple slope analysis showed that in cognitive hostile attributive situation, there is significantly negative relationship between extroversion and aggressive reaction of male students to familiar people (P < 0.01). Conclusion:Based on our findings, personality characteristics such as extroversion and openness to experience interact with hostile attribution-related aggressive reactions among male students.
