A Study of Ways to Improve Research Performance of Humanities Faculty Members

اين تحقيق با هدف مطالعه عوامل موثر بر افزايش كارآمدي تحقيقات در حوزه علوم انساني و بررسي راه هاي بهبود عملكرد پژوهشي اعضاي هييت علمي در حوزه مذكور انجام گرفته و در آن از روش پيمايش و رويكردي تلفيقي (كمي و كيفي) در جمع آوري داده‌ها استفاده شده است. جامعه آماري تحقيق شامل اعضاي هييت علمي دانشكده هاي علوم انساني دانشگاه هاي دولتي است كه با استفاده از شيوه نمونه گيري خوشه اي چندمرحله اي، 370 نفر از آنان به عنوان نمونه انتخاب گرديدند. در تحليل داده هاي كمي، از شاخص هاي گرايش مركزي و آزمون هاي تي تك متغيره و تحليل واريانس يك طرفه بهره گرفته شد. نتايج نشان داد كه بهبود عملكرد پژوهشي اساتيد در علوم انساني از طرفي نيازمند انجام اصلاحات در رويكردهاي سازماني و مديريت و سياست گذاري پژوهشي است و از طرف ديگر مشروط به اجراي برنامه هاي توانمندسازي و تقويت بنيه هاي حرفه اي اساتيد در زمينه پژوهش و فراهم كردن شرايط و منابع مناسب مالي، مادي و علمي براي انجام فعاليت هاي پژوهشي توسط اساتيد است. فراهم كردن بسترهاي مناسب و حمايت گراي اجتماعي، فرهنگي و سياسي و لحاظ كردن دغدغه هاي شخصي و حرفه اي اعضاي هييت علمي نيز از جمله عوامل موثر بر رونق فعاليت هاي پژوهشي است.

The main objective of the present research is to study factors influencing efficiency of research in humanities as well as studying ways to improve research performance of humanities faculty members. The research method applied was survey through a synthetic (qualitative and quantitative) approach in collecting the required data. The statistic population of the present research consisted of faculty members of the humanities departments of state universities. The sample included 370 faculty members who were selected through stratified cluster sampling method. In order to analyze the quantitative data, centripetal tendency measures and single variable t-test as well as one-sided analysis of variance were used. The results indicate that improvement of research performance depends on the following factors: improvement of organizational and managerial approaches and policymaking attitudes; implementation of enabling plans, strengthening of professional foundations of the faculty members in the field of research; providing them with suitable financial, material and scientific resources for research activities; providing them with suitable protective social, cultural and political contexts; and taking into consideration their personal and professional concerns.
