سنجش «ماللهند» ابوريحان بيروني بر اساس مولفه‌هاي شرق‌شناسي ادوارد سعيد

A Survey of the Indica by al- Biruni based on Orientalism Components of Edward Said

: شرق‌شناسي يك «گفتمان» است؛ گفتماني كه‌ در آن تمايز ميان غرب و شرق، اساس هر نوع بحث و استدلالي مي‌باشد. شرق‌شناسي به‌عنوان يك نيروي خستگي‌ناپذير فرهنگي و سياسي، فرآيند توليد و بازتوليد شرق را امتداد بخشيد و نقشي موثر در قوام و تكوين استعمار غربي ايفا كرد. براي محقّق علاقه‌مند به حوزه انديشه سياسي اسلام و ايران اين پرسش شكل مي‌گيرد كه شرقيان آنگاه كه از موضع استيلا با «ديگري» روبرو مي‌شدند اين سلطه يا غلبه به چه شكل و صورتي خود را در شناخت و تكوين تصوّر از ديگري نشان مي‌داده است؟ و آيا مطالعات شرقيان درباره «ديگري»، مولفه‌هاي شرق‌شناسي غربيان را در خود دارد يا نه؟ در اين مقاله با بررسي كتاب ماللهند اثر ابوريحان بيروني نشان داده مي‌شود كه اكثر مولفه‌هاي نوع نگاه شرق‌شناسي بر اساس آنچه كه ادوارد سعيد برشمرده در اين اثر غايب است. اگر اين پژوهش در بررسي ديگر آثار شرقيان در باب «ديگري» امتداد يابد مبنايي براي نظريه «امتناع استعمارگري شرقيان» فراهم مي‌گردد. در اين مقاله از روش پژوهشي تطبيقي استفاده شده است.

Orientalism is a “discourse”, a discourse in which the distinction between West and East, is the foundation of each type of discussion and argument. Orientalism as a tireless socio cultural force continued the process of production and reproduction of the East and played an effective role in the formation and consolidation of Western colonialism. The question that arises for scholars interested in the political thought of Islam and Iran is: what was the image and imagination of the eastern people towards other eastern countries when they dominated and concurred them? And Whether or not the studies by eastern people about other eastern countries can be labeled with the same orientalism components of western Orientalists? Reviewing the book “the Indica” by al-Biruni, the present article shows that most components of orientalism raised by Edward said are absent in this work. If this research continues with other oriental works in some other aspects”, the foundation for a theory of “impossibility of colonialism by eastern people” would be prepared. This paper follows a comparative research method.
