بررسي مقايسه‌اي نگرش خانواده و معلمان به كنجكاوي كودكان پيش‌دبستان

Childrenʹʹs Structural Characteristics and Curiosity Condition from the Viewpoint of Parents and Teachers

اگر چه كنجكاوي را مي‌توان از جمله ويژگي‌هايي به شمار آورد كه در اغلب كودكان ديده مي‌شود، اما از اين موضوع در سال‌هاي اخير غفلت شده است. در ميان ابعاد مختلف كنجكاوي، ماهيت معرفتي آن، يا به عبارتي ديگر جستجوي معلومات، نياز به توجه بيشتري دارد. براي پي بردن به كاربردهاي بالقوه اين نوع كنجكاوي لازم است درك صحيحي از تصورات عامه انجام شود كه تكميل كننده مفاهيم نظري هستند. ديدگاه خانواده و معلمان‌- به عنوان افرادي كه نقش مهمي در ساماندهي محيط زندگي كودكان دارند- درباره كنجكاوي در نحوه پاسخ دادن آن‌ها به بروز اين ويژگي در كودكان تاثيري بسيار دارد. در مطالعه حاضر، پرسشنامه‌اي تنظيم شد، تا نظر معلمان و خانواده درباره كنجكاوي و كندوكاو در كودكان سنجيده و به اين پرسش پاسخ داده شود كه آيا آن‌ها ارزشي براي اين ويژگي قايل هستند يا خير؟ و چه تفاوتي بين ديدگاه معلمان و خانواده‌ها درباره كنجكاوي كودكان وجود دارد. شركت‌كنندگان در اين پژوهش، معلمان پيش دبستاني و خانواده‌هايي بودند كه فرزندي در اين سنين داشتند. نتايج اين پژوهش نشان داد كه معلمان و خانواده نظر مثبتي نسبت به كنجكاوي و كندوكاو در فرزندانشان دارند و معلمان نسبت به خانواده براي تشويق اين ويژگي در كودكان تمايل بيشتري دارند. تجزيه و تحليل انجام شده بر اساس روش تحليل عاملي نشان داد كه تصورات معلمان و خانواده درباره كنجكاوي چند بعدي است و شباهت‌هايي را با مفاهيم نظري نشان مي‌دهد.

Although curiosity is a characteristic often observed in young children, it has not received much academic interest in recent years. Among its many dimensions, the epistemic nature of curiosity or the quest for knowledge, deserves attention. To explore the potential application of epistemic curiosity, it is important to understand how lay conceptions complement theoretical conceptualizations. As people who are significant in organizing childrenʹs environment, how teachers and parents view curiosity is essential to how they will respond to the manifestation of this characteristic in children. A questionnaire was developed to examine teachersʹ and parentsʹ conception of childrenʹs curiosity and exploratory behavior and whether they value this characteristic.The participants of this study were preschool teachers and parents with a preschool-age child. The findings indicated that the participants had a positive view toward curiosity and exploration and that teachers were more willing than parents to encourage this characteristic in young children. A factor analysis indicated that teachersʹ and parentsʹ conceptualization of curiosity were multi-dimensional, showing some similarities with theoretical conceptualization.
