Features of Persian Islamic Architecture

به معماري اسلامي ايران، عل يرغم اهميت فراوانش براي ما و نيز اعتباري كه در ميان معمار ي ساير فرهن گهاي جهان دارد، كمتر از نظر بنيادهاي طراحي و شخصيت فضاسازي توجه و دقت شده است.اما آنچه كيفيات فضايي هر معماري را، كه مخاطب در فضاهاي آن احساس و دريافت مي كند، شكل مي دهد، همين بنيادها و شخصيت است و بايد گفت كه، بدون گفتگو از آن ها، نم يتوان هيچ معماري را كَما هُوَ حَقه شناخت و ادراك كرد. با اين اوصاف آنچه در معماري گذشته ما همچنان روح ما را م ينوازد و برايمان آرامش به ارمغان م يآورد هنوز ناشناخته باقي مانده است. در اين مقاله كوشش مي شود، با تكيه بر ديدگاهي معمارانه، اين بنيادهاي خيالي طراح را، كه به صورتي عام و چشمگير در فضاهاي اين معماري قابل رويت و دريافت است، در قالب موضو عهاي مختلف و در مراتب گوناگون طرح تبيين نمود تا دريچه اي به ادراك بهتر اين معماري گشوده شود.

Despite extensive research and abundant literature on Persian Islamic Architecture, the attributes, which create the serenity of this architecture, are still unexplained. This paper attempts to elucidate some of these attributes through an architect’s interpretation from different viewpoints: an earthen architecture; an architecture of interiority; double-faced architecture; an architecture of courtyards; an architecture linking closed and open spaces; an architecture of semi open spaces; an architecture with a complete story; an ornate arhitecture of order; an architecture of balance and poise; an architecture of fluency and candor; an architecture of non-directional space; an architecture of diversity and harmony; the architecture of ceilings and roofs; an architecture of sumptuousity and delicacy; an architecture of colorful patterns; the similarity of components and the whole; an architecture fostering light; an architecture accompanying water; calligraphic architecture; and poetic architectur
