رابطه «عزت نفس» و ميزان گرايش جوانان به سبك زندگي غربي «مطالعه موردي: جوانان يزدي»

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN "SELF – RESPECT" AND YOUTHʹʹS TENDENCY TO WESTERN LIFE STYLE: CASE STUDY OF YOUTH IN YAZD CITY

هدف اصلي اين مقاله بررسي رابطه و ميزان همبستگي بين عزت نفس و ‌«‌سبك زندگي غربي» در ميان ‌جمعيت نمونه 227 نفري جوانان شهر يزد است. براي دستيابي به اين هدف از يك سو، يك شاخص كلي براي عزت نفس ساخته و جامعه مورد مطالعه به دو گروه داراي «‌اعتماد به نفس بالا » و «‌اعتماد به نفس پايين » تقسيم شده است . از سوي ديگر ، با استفاده از آزمون كندال، تلاش شده است كه رابطه بين « عزت نفس » و «‌گرايش جوانان يزدي به سبك زندگي غربي» در حوزه هاي مختلف اخلاقي، اقتصادي، اجتماعي، شخصي، سياسي و علمي با لحاظ كردن ضريب همبستگي ارزيابي شود. يافته هاي تحقيق بيانگر آن است كه در مجموع هرچه عزت نفس بالاتر باشد ميزان گرايش به سبك زندگي غربي در جوانان يزدي كمتر است و بالعكس.

Cultural change, results from various causes and factors, some parts of them are internal and some are external .This article examines the relationship and correlationship ratio between "self – respect" and "western life style". The sample populations are selected from 227 youth in Yazd city .The researcher has used Kopper Smithʹs standard test of self – respect, and has divided the sample population to "low self – respect" and "high self- respect". He has also arranged a questionnaire to examine youthʹs tendency to western life style in order to measure the correlation coefficient of self – respect with various moral, Economical , social , personal , political and scientific domains. The result of this research shows that the mean difference is found between self – respect and western life style altogether. In other word, whenever self-respect is high, youthsʹ tendency to western life style is low and vice- versa.
