Theoretical Foundations of Physical Resurrection in MullaSadra’s Viewpoints as Elaborated by Imam Khomeini

ملاصدرا اوّلين كسي بود كه توانست بر اساس مباني حكمت متعاليه معاد جسماني را تبيين عقلاني نمايد. طبق مباني صدرايي، بدني كه بالذات تحت تدبير نفس قرار دارد، يعني بدنٌ ما نه اين بدن متعين عنصري دنيوي، از شوون و بلكه مرتبه نازله نفس است؛ بنابراين، بدن آلتي مستقل و بيگانه از نفس نيست و تجلّي نفس است. بر اين اساس، بدن در ارتكاب عمل هم نقش مباشر را دارد و هم مسبّب پيدايش عمل است و به همين دليل در آخرت مستحق عذاب و پاداش مي‌شود. در باور ملاصدرا، بدن اخروي برآمده از خلّاقيّت قوّه خيال است. امام خميني يكي از موافقان معاد جسماني صدرايي است كه با پذيرش اصول مبنايي ملاصدرا در اين مساله، تبيين عقلاني وي از معاد جسماني را تاييد نموده است.

Mulla Sadra was the first Muslim philosopher to offer a rational explanation of physical resurrection on the basis of transcendental philosophy. On the basis of his principles, the body, which is essentially under the management of the soul, i.e. our body, not the materialized mundane body, is one of the lower degrees of the soul. Therefore, body is not an instrument independent or alien to the soul, rather it is its manifestation. Hence, on this basis, in doing an action, the body is both supervisor and causer of the implementation of the act and due to this reason it is liable to reward and punishment in the hereafter. Mulla Sarda maintains that the otherworldly body is the outcome of the imagination faculty’s creativity. Imam Khomeini is one of the advocates of Mulla Sadra’s theory of physical resurrection and has acknowledged Mulla Sadra’s principles and his rational explanation of physical resurrection.
