بي‌گمان سنت‌هاي اجتماعي به‌ويژه در فرهنگ ديني، بر پايه برخي آموزه‌ها شكل مي‌گيرد. اين آموزه‌ها آن‌گاه كه برخاسته از آيات نوراني قرآن و روايات معصومان? يا خرد انساني باشد، داراي ارزش و اعتبار است، وگرنه اهميت چنداني نخواهند داشت. از آن‌جا كه گوياترين و گسترده‌ترين مستند در جزييات معارف مهدويت روايات صادر شده از پيامبر? و امامان معصوم? است، پژوهش و پرداختن اساسي به محتواي آن‌ها بر فهم آموزه‌هاي موجود در آن افزوده، باورهاي مهدوي را به ثبات و استواري مي‌رساند. در اين نوشتار كوتاه، تلاش شد تا يكي از رفتارهاي رايج جامعه شيعي مربوط به حضرت مهدي?، يعني ايستادن هنگام شنيدن لقب قايم را با توجه به روايات موجود بررسي كنيم. از اين‌رو، با رديابي عبور روايت از گاه صدور تا امروز _ كه فراز و فرودهايي را پشت سر نهاده _ مي‌توان به حقايقي دست يافت.

Undoubtedly Social customs especially in religious cultures form based on some doctrines. If these doctrines originate from the holy verses of holy Quran or from the traditions quoted from innocent Imams or from the wisdom of humanity, they will be valid and precious, otherwise they won’t be so important. The Hadith which have been quoted from prophet ( pbuh) and the innocent Imams are the most expressive and the vastest document in details of theologies of Mahdaviyyat. Thus, researching and focusing on the meaning of them will increase the understanding of the available doctrines in them and prove Mahdavi beliefs. In this short paper, it was tried to analyze one of the common behaviors of Shiite society which is related to Imam Mahdi, i.e. standing up at the time of hearing the Ghaem title, (a behavior) which is based on the Hadith. Hence, we can acquire some facts by tracking the history and the procedures of Hadith from the time of issuance up to now which has passed a lot of ups and downs.
