A Comparative Study of the Epistemological Foundations of the Islamic and European Thought and Culture and its Relation to the Higher Education Institutes

هدف: هدف مقاله حاضر آن است كه نشان دهد كه چگونه مراكز آموزش عالي تحت تاثير رابطه ميان فرهنگ اسلامي و اروپايي و بنيان‌هاي معرفتي شناختي آن‌ها قرار مي‌گيرد. معمولا ميان زايش و بالندگي فرهنگ‌ها و مباني معرفت شناسي آن‌ها نوعي رابطه وجود دارد. آنچه دو فرهنگ اسلامي و اروپايي را از هم مجزا مي‌سازد ديدگاه هاي معرفتي آن‌هاست. بنابراين براي شناختن تفاوت‌هاي آن دو نيازمند آنيم كه به بنيان‌هاي معرفتي آن‌ها مراجعه كنيم. كاركردهاي نهادهاي آموزش عالي را نيز بر بنياد چنين ارتباط مي‌توان دريافت. روش: روش تحقيق نيز توصيفي و تحليلي است. در اين روش محقق كوشيده است تا براي پرسش‌هاي تحقيق، پاسخ‌هاي درخوري بيابد. يافته‌ها: مباني معرفتي در فرهنگ اسلامي را مي‌توان با توجه و نقش و اهميتي كه هر يك دارند به تجربي، عقلاني، شهودي و وحياني تقسيم نمود. با وجود اين، وحي بنياد همه آموزه‌ها و تعاليم اسلامي خوانده مي‌شود. بر اساس نگاه وحياني اسلامي خداوند بنياد، مبدا و غايت هستي است. جهان نيز مخلوق و مقهور اراده خداوند است. انسان نيز به عنوان برترين مخلوق به اتكا خرد خود به فهمي دقيق از جهان هستي دست يابد. معرفت آدمي امري كمالي است. از لحاظ تاريخي، نهادهاي آموزش اسلامي تحت تاثير مباني چنين نگرشي قرار گرفته‌اند. نهادهاي آموزش عالي اسلامي، در رابطه اي دوسويه با مباني معرفتي اسلامي، هم بر غناي خود افزوده‌اند و به نوبه خود نيز سبب گسترش فرهنگ اسلامي شده‌اند. در عوض، مباني معرفتي انديشه و فرهنگ اروپاي مدرن بر نوعي انسان گرايي كه خود بر خرد ابزاري استوار است، بنا شده است. از جمله تاثيرات اين مباني بر نهادهاي آموزش عالي، تهي كردن بعد معنوي تربيت، ابزاري كردن علم و دانش تخصصي براي رفع نيازهاي بنگاه‌هاي اقتصادي بوده است. نتيجه گيري: آنچه آموزش عالي اسلامي را از نوع اروپايي آن متمايز مي‌كند، جهت گيري معنوي و اخلاقي آن است. جهت گيري‌اي كه از آموزه هاي اسلامي تغذيه مي‌كند. اين در حالي است كه جهت گيري دانشگاه هاي اروپايي دنيوي بوده و دغدغه سازگار كردن آدمي را با نيازهاي متنوع زندگي دارد. آموزش‌هاي چنين دانشگاهي حتي در صورتي كه قرين توفيق باشد، كامل و تمام نيست.

Aim: The goal of this article is to indicate the significant impact of Islamic and European culture and their epistemological foundations on the higher education .There is a relationship between the creation and growth of culture, epistemological founfations. what distinguishes Islamic, and European culture has root in their epistemological perspectives. Therefore, to become acquainted to the differences of these two cultures, it is better to refer to their epistemological structures, and it is the contribution of this relation, which makes it possible for us to become familiar with the function of higher education. Method: The method of investigation is descriptive and analytic, by which the researcher attempts to gain suitable answers to research questions .Results:Epistemological foundations in Islamic culture can be divided into empirical, rational, intuitive and revealed. In Islamic thought, God is the origin and purpose of the world and the whole cosmos is under the will of Allah. Human kind as the best creature with aid of wisdom can reach to an accurate comprehension of the world of existence. In Islamic thought human knowledge is always tend to ripen. Historically the Islamic educational institutions have been always influenced by the Islamic epistemology. Islamic educational institutions, in a reciprocal relationship with Islamic knowledge, have increased both their wealth and have caused to spread the Islamic culture. In turn, the foundations of thought and culture of modern Europe is based on some kind of humanism. The most influences of humanism on higher education institutions are to unload the spiritual attitude in universities and to exploit sciences and specialized knowledge in order to fulfill the needs of economic enterprises.Conclusion:What make Islamic higher education different from higher education in the west are its moral and spiritual tendencies. The European universities are more concerned to make things agreeable to human secular needs in the life. This way of education can never be perfect
