نقدي بر دوگانه بومي‌گرايي- بيگانه‌سازي ونوتي در نظريه ترجمه، با تكيه بر آراي هرمنوتيك فلسفي و زبان‌شناختي گادامر و ريكور

A Criticism of Venuti’s Domestication-Foreignization Dichotomy in Translation: Based on Gadamer’s and Ricoeur’s Ideas of Philosophical Hermeneutics and Linguistics

انديشه هاي فلسفي و زبان شناختي گادامر و ريكور در هرمنوتيك فلسفي پيرامون چگونگي تحقق فهم، بسيار مهم هستند. مفاهيم «آميزش افق ها» از گادامر و «فهم خود از طريق ديگري» از ريكور مهم‌ترين مسايل مطرح‌شده در اين حوزه به شمار مي‌روند. اين دو مفهوم فلسفي در پي دستيابي به فهم بين فرهنگي هستند. از سوي ديگر، استراتژي ها و رويكرد هاي دوگانه باورانه ترجمه در قالب دوگانه باوري بومي سازي/ بيگانه سازي ونوتي و نظرياتي مشابه آن نتوانسته‌اند راه را براي تفاهم بين فرهنگ ها هموار كنند. اين مقاله مي‌كوشد با تكيه بر آراي ياد‌شده گادامر و ريكور اين معضل دوگانه‌باورانه نظريه ترجمه را رفع كند. با تكيه بر اين نظر گادامر كه هر فهمي در زبان رخ مي دهد و اين نظر ريكور كه بشر با وجود تنوع‌هاي گوناگون وحدتي خاص دارد، ترجمه به‌‌عنوان پديده اي زبان‌شناختي و فرهنگي بازانديشي مي شود كه مي‌تواند در نزديكي فرهنگي و زباني انسان ها و دستيابي به گونه اي از وحدت بين فرهنگي تاثيري بسزا داشته باشد. در نتيجه، اين پژوهش بر آن است كه در مقابل رويكرد دوگانه باورانه بومي گرايي- بيگانه-سازي به ترجمه، ترجمه را از زاويه ديد هرمنوتيك فلسفي به‌مثابه نوعي فهم بين فرهنگي معرفي كند و رويكرد نويني را درباره پديده ترجمه پيشنهاد كند كه همزمان توجه به دو فرهنگ دخيل در فرايند ترجمه و پاسداشت و احترام فرهنگ ديگري را لحاظ مي كند.

Philosophical and linguistic reflections of Gadamer and Ricoeur on how understanding occurs are of considerable significance. Gadamer’s concept of “Fusion of horizons” and Ricoeur’s idea of “Understanding oneself through the other” are among the most important issues in this regard. These two philosophical issues attempt to gain intercultural understanding. The fact is that the dichotomous strategies and approaches of translation as manifested in Venuti’s foreignization-domestication dichotomy, and other similar theories have been unable to pave the way for mutual understanding between cultures. Employing Gadamer’s and Ricoeur’s ideas, this study attempts to tackle the dichotomous issue of translation theories. Considering the Gadamer’s view that all understanding occurs through language and the Ricoeur’s idea that man enjoys a specific unity despite his great variation, translation is rethought as a linguistic and cultural phenomenon instrumental in creating cultural and linguistic affinity among people and causing a sort of intercultural unity. Therefore, unlike the dichotomous approach of foreignization and domestication, the present study aims to view translation from the view point of philosophical hermeneutics and offer a new approach, which simultaneously considers attention to the two cultures involved in translation and respect for the other culture.
