با نگاهي گذرا به آثار تاريخي ، ادبي و هنري در مي يابيم كه معني و نقش پرنده در زندگي فكري و اجتماعي ايرانيان از نقش و جايگاه مهمي برخوردار بوده است . نقش پرندگان در افسانه ها و داستان ايراني بسيار پر رنگ است . با توجه با اين گستردگي حضور پرندگان ، بررسي كاملي در اين زمينه صورت نگرفته و توجه چنداني به تصاوير و نقوش پرندگان نشده است . در اين تحقيق به بررسي جايگاه پرندگان و شناخت نقش و تصاوير آن ، به خصوص طاووس پرداخته شده است . هدف پژوهش : در ادبيات و زندگي تاريخي ايرانيان با دلايل و طرز فكرهاي گوناگون از هر پديده و موضوع مهم به شكل نمادين ، نشانه ي جانشيني را انتخاب كرده و با استفاده از آن درون متن ادبي ، تصويري و زندگي اجتماعي ، جهان فرهنگي خود را ساخته اند . هدف تحقيق شناسايي و استخراج اين نشانه ها در جهان شناسي و انديشه ايراني و ساير ملل است . طرح پژوهش : فعاليت هاي هنري نياز به اين دارد كه با عرصه هاي انديشه و تاريخ و فرهنگ پيوندهايي بيابد . هنرمند ايراني مكلف است با اين جنس تفكر ، پيشينه ي فرهنگي ملت خود را به عنوان گنجي ارزنده بررسي نموده و مفاهيم و ارزش هاي آن را به سود اكنون و آينده در آثار خود به طريق هايي وارد نمايد . اهميت اين پژوهش از اين ويژگي ناشي مي شود . روش پژوهش : با توجه به اهداف تحقيق كه گرداوري و تحليل نشانه ها و نمادهاي پرندگان در افسانه ها و ادبيات است ، روش گردآوري اطلاعات در اين پژوهش از طريق مطالعه اسناد و مدارك موجود در كتابخانه ها بوده است و بررسي نشان و نمادهاي پرندگان ، به روش كتابخانه اي و مشاهده اي صورت مي گيرد و از منابع متعدد و معتبر بهره گرفته شده و از نوع تاريخي ، توصيفي و تحليلي است .

With temporary observation to historical, literatural and artical features, we found the meaning and role of bird has important position in Iranian society and its thinking. The role of birds has been highlighted in Iranian legend and story. With regards to this extended presence of birds, there is no complete survey in this field and also no attention to picture and birds drawing. In this research, the position of birds and recognization of its drawing, especially peacock has been surveyed. In literature and historical life of Iranian with different reasons and points of view from every phenomenon and important subject in symbolic way, choose substutive sign and with using it in text, picture and social life has built their cultural world. The goal of research is discovering and extracting these signs in cosmology and Iranian and other people thought. Artistic activities require to be attached with thought and history and culture. Iranian artist is supposed to study his cultural history with this kind of thought as a valuable treasure and import its concepts in profit of now and future in his art works. The importance of this research comes from these characterizes. Considering the research goals that is gathering and analysis of signs and bird symbols in Iranian legends and literature, the method of gathering information in this research is through studying documents and evidences in libraries and review of signs and symbols of legendry birds with librarical method and the review has been done from various valid resources and this method is a historical, Descriptive and analytic kind.
