مقاله حاضر به منظور درك و آشنايي با نقاشي كودكان و اهميت شيوه بياني آن در هنر بزرگسالي نگارش شده است .كودكان از بدو تولد به شناخت محيط و پديده هاي مادي جهان مي پردازند . وطي اين فرايند ، تحت شرايط محيطي دوران رشد و همراه با يادگيري زبان ، دنياي مادي و رويدادها محيط خود را به صورت تصاويري نمادين كه در بر گيرنده مفهوم كلي، ذات و ماهيت اشيا مي باشد را در ذهن ثبت مي كنند . تصاويري ذهني كه ما بازا خود در كودك كنشي عاطفي و هيجاني را نيز بر مي انگيزد . نقاشي كودكان تصاويري است، به دور از بازنمايي ناظر مدارانه ، تقليدي است از واقعيت ،كه با تصوير ذهني او مشترك است. ميان تصوير ترسيمي و تصوير دروني تعاملي بي شمار برقرار است و بياني است ، برگرفته از ادراك فردي او . حفظ اين احساس كودكانه و به كار گيري آگاهانه اين شيوه ي بياني ، در بزرگسالي ، مي تواند رهنمون خلق آثاري بديع و فردي باشد .
