عروج كيخسرو در روايات شفاهي مردم ايران

The Ascension of Kai-Khosrow in the Iranian Oral Traditions

در اساطير ايراني، كيخسرو شاهي فرهمند از خاندان كياني و نماد انسان كامل است. يكي از ويژگي‌هاي مهم كيخسرو در اساطير ايراني، عروج وي به آسمان و جاودانگي اوست. در اوستا از عروج كيخسرو و جاودانگي‌اش ياد نشده، اما از سلطنتِ درخشان و زندگاني بلند او سخن رفته است. در نوشته‌هاي فارسي ميانه مطالب بيشتري درباره جاودانگي كيخسرو يافت مي‌شود. موضوع اين مقاله بررسي اعتقاد به عروجِ كيخسرو در رواياتِ شفاهيِ مردم ايران است. كيخسرو در باور مردم ايران تنها شخصيتي اسطوره‌اي نيست، بلكه شاهي زنده و بخشي از زندگي واقعي آنهاست. مكاني كه كيخسرو از آنجا به آسمان رفت، مكاني مقدس در نقاط مختلف ايران است و زرتشتيان هر سال در روز ششم فروردين خاطره عروج او را جشن مي‌گيرند و براي بازگشت او دعا مي‌كنند.

King Kai-Khosrow is a charismatic king of the Kayanian dynasty and the symbol of a perfect or idealistic human being in the Persian mythology. One of his most important characteristics is his ascension into heaven and his immortality. Khosrow’s ascension has not been mentioned in the Avesta, but there are some old inscriptions about his brilliant kingship and mortality in the Middle Persian and Persian classical writings. This paper tries to study peopleʹs belief and their oral tradition about the ascension of this ascetic king. In the Iranian oral traditions, Kai-Khosrow is not only a mythological character, but also an alive king and a part of the peopleʹs true life. To them, the place where Kai-Khosrow ascended to the heaven is considered as a holy place in different parts of Iran and Zoroastrians annually celebrate the memory of his ascension and pray for his return on the sixth day of Farvardin.
