A Comparative Study of Common Characteristics of Sacred Portraiture in Religious Civilizations (Buddhist, Christianity, Islam)

در تاريخ هنر و تمدنهاي ديني، همواره شاهد ظهور آثار معنوي و روحاني هستيم كه سعي در برقراري ارتباط انسان با عوالم ملكوتي دارند كه يكي از بارزترين مصاديق آن، چهره هاي معنوي است. چهره انسانهاي وارسته مجالي براي نمايش روحانيت و معنويت در قالب تصوير انساني بوده و همواره در تمدنهاي ديني مورد توجه خاص بوده است. اين چهره‌ها داراي خصلتهايي است كه وقتي در كنار يكديگر قرار داده مي‌شوند چنين به نظر مي آيد كه داراي روحي واحد و مشترك هستند. شناسايي ويژگي هاي مشترك چهره هاي معنوي در تمدنهاي ديني هدف اصلي اين تحقيق است. در اين مقاله سعي شده تا با استفاده از تحليل و تفسير صورت نوعيه و بيان ديدگاه هاي گوناگون صاحب نظران در مورد آن، به شناسايي ويژگي هاي مشترك چهره هاي معنوي و چگونگي استفاده هنرمندان از اين اصول در آثارشان پرداخته شود. ارايه مقاله بر اساس روش تحقيق توصيفي- تحليلي است كه اساس آن، توصيف نمونه هايي از چهره هاي موجود در برخي از تمدنهاي ديني است و ضمن بررسي نحوه تلقي هنرمندان در تمدنهاي گوناگون نسبت به خلق چهره هاي معنوي كه برگرفته از صورت نوعيه اند، برخي از ويژگي هاي مشترك اين چهره ها شناسايي شده است. نتايج اين تحقيق نشان مي دهد كه چهره هاي معنوي در تمدنهاي ديني داراي ويژگي هاي مشتركي است كه مي توان با استفاده از آنها، چهره اي آرماني را متصور شد. در نتيجه مهمترين ويژگي هاي مشترك اين چهره ها عبارتند از: ابروان كشيده و كماني، چشمان درشت و بادامي، بيني كشيده، لباني كوچك، پيشاني محراب گونه و گشاده.

Through the history of art & religious civilizations, there are always sacred & spiritual artworks that endeavor connect humans with spiritual worlds, of which the most obvious manifestations are sacred portraits. Portraits of the pious humans give the opportunity to represent spirituality and divineness in form of human images that have always been taken into especial consideration by religious civilizations. These portraits have special characteristics so that if they are put together, it seems that they possess a united and collective essence. Therefore recognizing the common characteristics of sacred portraits in religious civilizations is the main goal of this research.In this essay by means of analyzing and explaining the ideal portrait and expressing the different viewpoints of experts in this area, it is tried to recognize the common characteristics of the sacred portraits and the ways artists have manipulated them in their works. Using analytic and descriptive methods based on description of existing cases of portraits from some of the religious civilizations and besides exploring the artists’ perceptions of sacred portraits in various civilizations which are developed from the ideal portrait, some of the common characteristics of these portraits are recognized. The results of this essay show that there are common characteristics in sacred portraits in religious civilizations through which a perfect portrait may be conceived. As a result main common characteristics include: extended and arched eyebrows, big and almond like eyes, extended nose, small lips, altar like and broad foreheads.
