IMAM HOSSEIN-INSPIRED REFORMISM

حضرت امام حسين(ع) با نهضت خود امري از دين را احيا كرد و پيروان واقعي او بايد همواره به او تاسي كنند تا جامعه اسلامي در مسير صحيح دين حركت كند. اصلاح دين و زدودن بدعت‏ها، كج‌رَوي‏ها و ناهنجاري‌ها و شناسايي و معرفي چهره‏هاي ناسالمِ قرارگرفته در مصادر امور به امت اسلامي براي حذف آنان از گردونه انتخاب، كه حركت جامعه را به انحراف و مسير ناسالم سوق مي‏دهند، از وظايف امت اسلامي است. بسيج، از آنجا كه برآمده از فرهنگ عاشوراست و در حساس‏ترين برهه تاريخيِ انقلاب، با معيارهاي عاشورايي، از آن دفاع كرده است، بايد همواره فرهنگ عاشورايي خود را زنده نگه داشته و از حقايق آن بهره‏مند باشد تا بتواند هم به‏ منزله شاخص و معيارِ عمل ديگران موجب اصلاح حركت باشد و هم آن‌گاه كه تشخيص مي‏دهد انحراف و بدعتي وارد دين و جامعه شده است با روش و ابزارهاي خود در پي زدودن آن برآيد.

Imam Hossein gave life to Islam by launching his movement that must be pursued by his followers if they wish the Islamic society to be in right path of religion. Rectifying religion, purging the subsequent bi’dahs (innovations made after the passing away of the Holy Prophet), abnormalities and deviations, detecting and introducing to the Islamic Ummah those of unsound character who are in a position to manage the affairs, and steer the society onto an unsound path and deviation, are among what the Islamic Ummah is obligated to do. Because of the fact that Basij is an outcome of the culture of Ashura, and has defnded the Revolution according to a set of criteria inspired form the Ashura tragedy in a most critical period of the revolution, it must then invariably keep that culture alive so that it both could serve as an example to be followed by others in improving the movement, and could correct a deviation and bi’dah in case it realizes has taken place in the society and religion.
