مقاله « قرايات زنانه از قرآن » نوشته خانم اسما بارلاس3 ،يكي از چهارده مقاله از كتاب « راهنماي قرآن كمبريج » تدوين خانم مك اوليف4 ، سرويراستار دايره المعارف قرآن، است ، كه در طي آن ، انديشه هاي مولف وبرخي ازهمفكران اودرخصوص جايگاه زن درقرآن مطرح شده است.بارلاس دردوزمينه كلامي وروش شناختي به تفاسير اسلامي انتقاد كرده وفرضيه برتري جنسيتي مرد راكه متاثر ازاقتضا ات زمان است،به همراه تفسير ترتيبي مبتني برروايات راكه موجب عدم رهيافت به انسجام مضموني قرآن مي گردد،ازعوامل مهم ظهورتفاسيرزن ستيزبرشمرده است وازسوي ديگرغيرعصري دانستن قرآن ازسوي مفسران را موجب انجماد براحكام مختص زمان نزول دانسته وحكم حجاب را ملغي مي داند.اگرچه دربرخي مواردنظيربحث گناه نخستين،پيش فرضهاي عاميانه مشتمل بربرتري جنسيتي مردبه همراه اعتمادبرروايات غيرصحيح وبي توجهي به پيوستگي قرآن موجب ظهورتفاسيرناصحيح درحوزه مسايل زنان شده است. اما اين مطلب به تمامي موضوعات قرآني مرتبط ،قابل سرايت نمي باشد بعلاوه اين كه شرط اصلي درپرسشگري ازقرآن،علاوه برتوجه به اقتضا ات زمان،عدم تحميل مفروضات وسليقه هاي شخصي برقرآن وتبعيت ازمباني فهم وشيوه هاي صحيح تفسير قرآن است كه يكي ازآنها بهره مندي ازروايات صحيح ونيز كشف حكمت حكم تشريعي درقرآن است.

The article Women’s Readingsof the Quran by Ms. AsmaBarlas is one of the fourteen articles of the book The Cambridge Companion to the Quran compiled Jane Dammen McAuliffewho is the chief editor ofThe Encyclopedia of the Quran.This article offersthe thoughts of the author and some of those who share her beliefson womenʹs status inthe Quran. Barlascriticizes Islamic exegesis in theological and methodological grounds and considers themales’superiority assumption which is the outcome of the time conditions as well as the sequential interpretation based on the traditions which do not lead to the thematic cohesion of the Quran asone of the important factors which has led to the emergence of misogynist interpretations.On the other hand, the author of the article holds that the belief that the Quran is not related to the contemporary age results inthe freezing of the injunctions of the age of Revelation and nullification of hijabinjunction. However, in some cases such as the first sin, the common assumptions including males’ superiorityas well astrust in unsound traditions andlack of attention to the cohesiveness of the Quran have led to the emergence of unacceptable interpretations in the field of womenʹs issues. However, this point does not concern all the related Quranic issues. Furthermore,when investigating the Quran, besides considering the requirements of the time, one needs to be cautious in order not to impose his/her personal assumptions and tastes on it and follow the correct principles and methods of understanding and interpreting this book one of which ismaking use of sound traditions a well as discovering the reasons forlegal judgmentsfrom the Quran.
