Treview to Sedition and getting rid of it

فتنه از جانب خدا، آزمودن جامعه است به منظور خلوص و تطهير صف مومنان از غير مومنان؛ همچنان كه طلا را با گداختن، خالص مي‌كنند. اما فتنه از جانب بشر، در افكندن آنها به دام ابهام و تشويش است به منظور انحراف و گمراهي آنها و صيد ماهي مراد از آب گل‌آلود جامعه. فتنه، گاه از انگيزه‌ها و شرايط دروني، مانند دلبستگي به مال و زن و فرزند و كسان خويشان نشيت مي‌گيرد و گاه از شرايط بيروني؛ مانند در افتادن در دام اظهارات يا اقدامات انسانهاي كژانديش و بيماردل. در هر دو حالت، راه نجات عبارت است از: اخلاص، تقوا، علم، بصيرت و پيروي از رهبران حق. راه توبه به روي فتنه‌گر باز است و با توجه به انواع فراوان طرق فريب جامعه و تشويش افكار عمومي، پذيرش توبه فتنه‌گران منوط است به اعلام توبه، اصلاح آنچه تباه ساخته‌اند و تبيين حقايقي كه به خيانت در نظر مردمان تحريف كرده‌اند.

Fetna (trial) on the part of God, is the test on the society in order to purify the ranks of believers, making them distinct from those of nonbelievers, just like gold which is made pure by melting it. But Fetna (seditiousness) on the part of human is catching them into the net of ambiguity and confusion in order to deviate and mislead them, and in a word, to take the opportunity of fishing in troubled waters of the society. Sometimes, seditiousness originates from the internal motivations and conditions, like being attached to property, wife, children and relatives, and sometimes from outside conditions like being deceived by the remarks and actions of ill-minded and sick-hearted men. In either case, the way to get delivered is as follows: piousness, sincerity, science, insight, and following right leaders. The gate of repentance is open to sedition-makers. And, considering the abundant ways of deceiving the society and confusing the public opinion, the repentance of the sedition-makers will be accepted only if they announce their repentance, make right what the have spoiled, and clarify the truths they have already distorted in the eye of the public.
