The Role of Spirituality in the Generation of National Power

نقش قدرت ملّي در تامين امنيت و تحقّق آرمانها و اهداف ملّي بر هيچ‌كس پوشيده نيست. برهمين اساس دولت‌ها در هر كشوري، تلاش مي‌كنند قدرت ملّي را افزايش داده تا در پرتو آن بتوانند ضمن خنثي كردن تهديدها، ارزشهاي حياتي خود را حفظ نموده و اهداف منافع ملّي را تحقّق بخشند. سوال اصلي اين است كه معنويت در توليد قدرت ملّي چه نقشي دارد و اين نقش، اصلي است يا فرعي؟ در اين مقاله سعي شده است براساس آيات، روايات و نظريه‌هاي موجود، ضمن تشريح مقوله‌هاي معنويت و قدرت ملي، رابطه بين اين دو تبيين شود. اگر قدرت ملّي يك متغيّر وابسته باشد و معنويت به عنوان يك متغير مستقل، وجود يا عدم آن در هركشور و در بخشها و مولفه‌هاي اصلي توليد قدرت ملي، چه تاثيري در افزايش يا كاهش قدرت ملّي دارد؟ مقاله حاضر به دنبال پاسخ به اين سوالات است. توجه به نقش و رابطه بين معنويت و قدرت ملي، براي كشوري كه در معرض تهديدهاي جدّي قدرتهاي استكباري و سلطه‌گر قرار دارد، از اهميت بسيار بالايي براي امور سياستگذاري، تعيين راهبردها و برنامه‌ريزي‌ها برخوردار است. تبيين اين موضوع كمك مي‌كند تا مسيولان جمهوري اسلامي ايران در سطوح مختلف براي افزايش قدرت ملي، بر روي عناصر اصلي توليد قدرت ملّي تمركز بيشتري پيدا كنند.

The role of national power in securing national security, and in achieving national objectives and causes is quite undeniable. It is here that every government tries to increase national power so as to be able to neutralize threats facing it, to preserve it’s values, and to realize the ends of national interests. The main questions are “What role does spirituality play in generating national power?” and “Is the role played by spirituality in generating national power a major role or a subordinate one?’’. While describing the categories related to spirituality and national power, this article tries to explain the relationship berween these two on the basis of the Koranic verses, traditions and theories. If national power is a dependent variable and spirituality an independent one, what effect does the existence or lack of sprituality in every country, and in all the main parameters and sections of the generation of national power have in increasing or decreasing national power? This article seeks to answer these questions. It is increasingly important for any country facing the grave threats posed by arrogant powers to consider the role of, and relationship between, spirituality and national power in policy making, determining strategies, and plannings. Understanding this helps the I.R.I statesmen in different levels involved in increasing national power, to concentrate more on the main elements of the generation of national power.
