The Validation of Eating Disorder Diagnostic Scale (EDDS)

زمينه: اختلال خوردن مشكل رايج در دختران نوجوان و زنان جوان است. در موقعيت‌هاي باليني، فرم كوتاه غربالگري براي شناسايي بيماران لازم است. لذا هدف اين پژوهش، بررسي شاخص‌هاي روانسنجي مقياس تشخيص اختلال خوردن بود. روش‌ها: نمونه پژوهش 431 نفر از زنان مراجعه‌كننده به باشگاه‌هاي ورزشي شهر شيراز بودند كه به‌روش نمونه‌گيري آسان انتخاب شدند. شركت‌كنندگان به پرسشنامه‌ تشخيص اختلال خوردن كه توسط محقق ترجمه شده بود، پاسخ دادند و شاخص توده بدني آن‌ها نيز محاسبه شد. يافته‌ها: ضرايب همساني دروني و همبستگي دو‌نيمه‌سازي اسپيرمن-براون و گاتمن به‌ترتيب 84/0، 82/0 و 83/0 برآورد گرديد. نتايج ميزان توافق اين ابزار با تشخيص متخصص باليني، تحليل عامل تاييدي و همبستگي هر گويه با نمره كل مطلوب بود. نتيجه‌گيري: فرم فارسي مقياس تشخيص اختلال خوردن از پايايي و روايي مطلوب برخوردار است و مي‌توان از اين ابزار در موقعيت‌هاي باليني و پژوهشي براي ارزيابي اختلال خوردن استفاده كرد.

Background: Eating disorder is a common problem in teenage girls and young women. In clinical situations, brief screening is necessary to recognize the patients. The present research aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of Eating Disorder Diagnostic Scale (EDDS). Methods: The study sample included 431 females selected from among the females referring to Shiraz’s sport clubs using convenience sampling. The participants in this research responded to the EDDS that was translated by the researcher and their BMI index was calculated. Results: The internal consistency coefficients, and Spearman-Brown and Guttmann spilt-half correlations were 0.84, 0.82 and 0.83, respectively. The findings showed that the agreement rate of the instrument with the clinician’s diagnosis and confirmatory factor analysis, and the correlation between each question and the whole score were appropriate. Conclusion: In general, the results of this research showed that the Persian version of Eating Disorder Diagnostic Scale (EDDS) has appropriate validity and reliability and can be used in clinical and research situations for the assessment of eating disorder.
