روزي نيست كه رسانه‌ها در مورد فساد، مطالبي منتشر نكنند. فساد در جوامع بشري قدمتي به اندازه تمدن داشته و همچنان يكي از مسايل گريبانگير بسياري از كشورهاي جهان مي‌باشد. فساد لطمه‌هايي جبران‌ناپذير به توسعه و رفاه اجتماعي وارد مي‌كند، اعتماد عموم به يكديگر را تضعيف مي‌نمايد و سبب ازميان‌رفتن بخش هنگفتي از سرمايه اجتماعي و منابع عمومي مي‌شود. مبارزه با كليه اشكال فساد، يكي از وظايف و رسالت‌هاي جهاني روزنامه‌نگاران به‌شمارمي‌آيد. رسانه‌هاي مستقل با افشاگري مفاسد و زواياي پنهان زدوبندها، ضمن كمك به شفاف‌سازي در جامعه، برابري فرصت‌ها و رفاه اجتماعي را براي تمامي شهروندان فراهم مي‌كنند. تحت فشار رسانه‌هاي مستقل، تعهدات دولت‌ها و مقامات مسيول در مبارزه با فساد، عملي مي‌شود. روزنامه‌نگاري تحقيقي يكي از انواع روزنامه‌نگاري است كه منحصراً در جستجوي «فساد» و برملاكردن آن است. اين مقاله كه رويكرد نظري - عملي دارد، به دنبال يافتن پاسخ اين سوال است كه روزنامه‌نگاري تحقيقي چگونه مي‌تواند با فساد به‌عنوان يكي از موانع رفاه اجتماعي مبارزه كند؟

There is no day that the media do not publish anything about corruption. Corruption in human societies is as old as the civilization and remains as one of the problems facing many countries of the world. Corruption makes irreparable harm to the development and social welfare, undermines public trust, and is the reason for loss of an enormous part of social capital and public resources. Fight against all forms of corruption is considered one of the universal duties and responsibilities of journalists. Independent media exposing the corruption and hidden aspects of collusions, while contributing in transparency in society, provides equal opportunities and social welfare for all citizens. Under the pressure of independent media, governments and authorities have to fulfill their obligations in the fight against corruption. Investigative journalism is a form of journalism that exclusively attempts to find "corruption" and expose it. This paper that has a theoretical-practical approach, tries to answer this question: “how can investigative journalism fight with corruption as one of the obstacles of social welfare”?
