Viewpoints of Mulla Sadra and Kant on Simple Whetherness Propositions

چكيده هليه بسيطه قضيه‌اي است كه محمول آن »وجود» است. از مسايل مهمي‌‌كه در مورد اين قضايا مطرح مي‌‌شود اين است كه آيا اساساً مي‌‌توان چنين قضايايي را پذيرفت؟ اين نوشتار درصدد ارزيابي نظر ملاصدرا و كانت در مورد هليات بسيطه است كه نخست به بررسي نظرات هر كدام از اين فيلسوفان به طور مجزا و سپس به تشابهات و تناظرات نظرات آنها و در پايان به ارزيابي نظر آنها خواهد پرداخت و به اين نتيجه مي‌‌رسد كه نظرات ملاصدرا در خصوص هليات بسيطه(يعني1. ثبوت الشي ؛ 2. عارض ماهيت؛ 3. عكس الحمل؛ 4. تجريد همراه تخليط) قابل تقليل به دو راه‌حل (1. مبتني بر اصالت ماهيت؛ 2. مبتني بر اصالت وجود) است و از سوي ديگر نظر كانت اين است كه هليات بسيطه تحليلي و تركيبي نيستند، بنابراين به انكار اين قضايا پرداخت. اين نوشتار بر آن است كه با بيان دو راه‌حل ملاصدرا مي‌‌توان از نتايج مشكل‌آفرين رويكرد كانت به مسيله هليات بسيطه خارج شد.

Abstract Simple whetherness refers to propositions whose predicate is being. What is important about this type of propositions is the question whether they are acceptable. The present article aims at evaluating the viewpoints expressed by Mulla Sadra and Kant on this issue and to compare their similarities and differences. The conclusion is that Mulla Sadraʹs views on the simple whetherness propositions can be reduced into two solutions (one based on the primacy of quiddity and the other on the primacy of being). In comparison, for Kant, simple whetherness propositions are neither analytic nor synthetic propositions, and therefore, they should be rejected. The claim of the present article is that, through the two Mulla Sadraʹs solutions we can overcome the paradoxical implications of Kantʹs approach to the problem of the simple whetherness propositions.
