اگرچه افسردگي در دامنه عاطفي از دلمردگي و احساس ياس خفيف تا غم شديد همراه با مشكل تمركز و تصميم‌گيري اطلاق مي‌شود، اما در گستره اين اختلال تعريف مجزايي از آن در سطح نوجواني كمتر ارايه شده است. هدف از اين مقاله مروري نقادانه درباره پيشينه افسردگي نوجواني از نقطه‌نظر علت شناختي است كه در آن ديدگاههاي مختلف نظري و دامنه‌هاي تحقيقاتي مورد بررسي قرار مي‌گيرد. محقق در نظر دارد تا با گسترش يك الگوي مفهومي ديدگاههاي مختلف و تحقيقات در زمينه علل افسردگي نوجواني را در كنار هم قرار دهد. اين مطالعه انتقادي با هدف غني‌سازي پيشينه در افسردگي دوره نوجواني و رسيدن به يك عامل مشترك انجام گرفته است. نتايج اين بررسي نشان مي‌دهد علت‌شناسي افسردگي در نوجوانان بر اساس ديدگاههاي مختلف روانشناسي مفاهيم مشترك دارد كه بايد در درمان افسردگي نوجوانان مورد توجه واقع گردد

Investigating depressive disorder among youth: From aetiology to treatment S. Ershadi Manesh, PhD.* Although depression has been defined as the emotional state of persistent dejection, ranging from relatively mild discouragement and gloominess to feelings of extreme despondency and despair, there are fewer specific definitions for adolescence depression in the literature and also the treatment process is based on researches carried out on adults. The aim of this article is a critical review of the aetiology of depression among youth in which different theories along with the related researches will be discussed. Building a conceptual framework, the researcher’s intention is to bring together research and theory in order to understand whether there are common factors in the aetiology of depression in youth between different theories which may be useful in the treatment process. The results of this literature review show that although there are different models which state the aetiology of depression in youth, there is an area of agreement among them.
