Reappraisal of Kitāb al-‘Aql of Uṣūl al-Kāfī

اصول كافي از نظر قدمت، جامع بودن، كثرت احاديث و ترتيب خاص، اعتبار روايات و مشتمل بودن بر معارف الهي و اخلاق و احكام، سرآمد كتاب‏هاي حديثي شيعه است. از آنجا كه پرداختن به مباني اعتقادي نيازمند اثبات و اعتبار عقل است، مرحوم كليني‏محمد بن يعقوب، با استناد به روايات متعدد به اين بحث پرداخته است. مقاله حاضر در پي اشاره بدين نكته است كه گرچه مرحوم كليني‏، اين كتاب را بر مبناي نقل پايه‏ريزي كرده، امّا رويكرد عقلاني ايشان به گونه‏اي است كه اين ديدگاه را تقويت مي‏كند او در پي تاكيد بر جايگاه عقل در مكتب كلامي شيعه است.

U??l al-K?f? is a leading collection among the Sh?‘a books of ?ad?th in terms of antiquity, inclusiveness, abundance of traditions, specific order, and the validity of the traditions and its inclusion of Divine knowledge and ethics. Since dealing with ideological principles requires the intellect’s proof and validation, the late Kulayn? has dealt with this issue by relying on numerous traditions. The present article seeks to explore the point that although the late Kulayn? has founded this book on the basis of text, his intellectual approach is in such a way that reinforces the viewpoint that he intends to emphasize the status of intellect in Sh?‘a theological school.
