تاريخ جهانگشاي جويني، برجسته‌ترين اثر تاريخي عهد مغول است. بسياري از مورّخان قرن هفتم و حتي تاريخ نويسان امروزي در سراسر جهان در نوشتن آثارشان به اين كتاب نظر خاصي داشته‌اند. جويني با كلام نافذ خويش، تصاويري دقيق و ناب از سه دوره تاريخي مغول، خوارزمشاهيان و اسماعيليان ارايه داده است. جويني براي شرح و بسط احوال اجتماعي و واقعيّات تاريخي گذشته بر مردم ايران علاوه بر بيان صريح و جامع حقايق تاريخي به تكرار اين مطالب به وسيله ابداع تصاويري روشن پرداخته است تا اين‌گونه بتواند بسان نقاشي زبردست رنج و مصيبت‌هاي رفته بر ايرانيان را در ذهن خواننده ترسيم كند. در حقيقت او به كمال رسالت خويش نايل آمده است. در مقاله حاضر با استخراج تشبيهات و استعارات جلد نخست تاريخ جهانگشاي جويني، به دسته بندي آنها از نظر اختلاف مشبّهٌ‌به و وجه شبه پرداخته شده و سپس به دلايل انتخاب واژگان و تركيبات ذكر شده در خلق تشبيهات و استعارات اشاره گرديده است

Many of the Historian in seven century and even today scribers in all of the world have specially regarded to this book. Joveini with his attractive speech has presented the exact and pure imagination of three historical period of Mongul, kharazmshahian and Esmaelian. Happen for Iranian people, set out to repeating this materials with creation of the clear imagination until to be able to draw as a skillfull painter, the pain and sads of the Iranian in the mind of reader. In the fact he has reached to highest in his obligation or responsibility. In this study by to extractioning of similes and metaphors from the first volume of joveini’s jahangosha history, Has been try to classifying them of diffrernce of simileis and them has indicated the assigned words and compounds to creat of similes and metaphors.
