Herder and Philosophy of Culture

انديشه يوهان گوتفريد فون هردر دامنه وسيعي دارد و براي سير در انديشه‌هاي وي بايد به مباحثي مانند انسانيت، تاريخ و فلسفه تاريخ، انسان‌شناسي، فرهنگ و فلسفه فرهنگ آن‌گونه كه او طرح كرده است پرداخت. با توجه به شرايط عالم معاصر و اهميت يافتن پرسش‌هايي چون سرشت فرهنگ، نسبت ميان فرهنگ‌ها و آينده فرهنگ، بازخواني آثار هردر به‌خصوص انديشه‌هاي وي درباره فرهنگ لازم به نظر مي‌رسد. حداقل فايده بازخواني انديشه‌هاي هردر آن است كه با الگويي مناسب براي بررسي و تحليل ژرف فرهنگ و پرسش‌هاي موجود درباره آن آشنا مي‌شويم؛ الگويي كه براي پيگيري مطالعات نظري درباره فرهنگ ضروري است. در اين مقاله به انديشه‌هاي هردر درباره فرهنگ پرداخته‌شده و به‌خصوص بر اين نكته تاكيد مي‌شود كه با هردر است كه فرهنگ به‌عنوان موضوعي براي فلسفه به انديشه درمي‌آيد و فلسفه فرهنگ شكل مي‌گيرد. فلسفه فرهنگ سنتي فلسفي است كه با هردر آغازشده و در سال‌هاي اخير به موضوعي كانوني در فلسفه آلمان تبديل‌شده است. در ادامه پرسشِ نسبت ميان فرهنگ‌ها در عالم معاصر، با توجه به الگوي هردر موردبررسي قرار مي‌گيرد. موضوع نسبت ميان فرهنگ‌ها موضوعي است كه در سه دهه اخير اهميت بسياري يافته و به نظر مي‌رسد كه بينش و تلقي هردر، يكي از بهترين الگوها براي ورود به چنين موضوعي است.

Johann Gottfried von Herderʹs thought has a wide range and in order to roam in his views we should deal with the issues such as humanity, history and philosophy of history, anthropology, culture and philosophy of culture as he has proposed. Concerning the conditions of the contemporary world and the importance of such questions as nature of culture, relation between cultures and the future of culture, it seems necessary to read out the works of Herder. The least benefit of reading out Herderʹs ideas is that we get familiar with a suitable paradigm for a deep study and analysis of culture and the existing questions around it; a paradigm that is essential for perusing theoretical studies about culture. In this paper Herderʹs ideas about culture have been discussed and the point which has been particularly emphasized here is that it is through Herderʹs works that culture as a subject for philosophy is put into the mind and "philosophy of culture" is formed. Concerning Herderʹs paradigm, this paper proceeds to survey the relation between cultures in the contemporary world. The issue of the relation between cultures is an issue which has been greatly prominent in recent three decades, and it seems that Herderʹs insight and treatment is one of the best paradigms to enter into such an issue.
