در بين جريان هاي فكري يهوديي كه در قرون وسطا وجود دارد جرياني مخالفت با فلسفه را وجهه همت خويش قرار داده است. برخي از يهوديان از موضع الاهياتي به نقد آرا و افكار فيلسوفان به ويژه ارسطو مي پرداختند و جمعي از طريق جدل و با مدد گرفتن از خود فلسفه به مقابله با آن برخاستند. در اين بين يهودا هلوي جايگاه ممتازي دارد. او تحت تاثير غزالي ير نابسندگي و محدوديت عقل در تبيين موضوعات الاهياتي تاكيد مي كرد و براي تجربه ديني و سنت بمثابه تجربه انباشته شده اهميت ويژه اي قايل بود. كتاب الخزري مهم ترين كتاب هلوي به شمار مي آيد.مخالفت با فلسفه ارسطو بخش معظم كتاب را به خود اختصاص داده است. هلوي در عين حالي كه عقل را ارج مي نهد برمحدوديت و نابسندگي آن تاكيد دارد. او متاثر از اسماعيليه معتقد بود بسياري از آموزه ها و رخدادهاي ديني را نمي توان از راه عقل و عليت تبيين كرد،چرا كه آنها مربوط به عالم امراند و تبيين علي مربوط به عالم خلق است. بنابرين تجربه ديني مومنان و سنت ديني بهترين ضامن و گواه بر تحقق امور مربوط به عالم امر است. مقاله حاضر تنها عهده دار تبيين ديدگاه هلوي در باره محدوديت عقل و ناكارآمدي فلسفه ارسطو در توجيه باورهاي ديني است.

He impressed by Ismailis emphasized upon the impossibility of explaining the religious beliefs by reason and causality, Because they are relevant to the world of Amr, While causal explanation is relevant to the world of creation. So religious experience of believers and tradition is the best guaranty relating to world of Amr.This paper tries to explain his views on the limits of reason And the inadequacy of Aristotle for justifiy beliefs.
