Manipulation of the Original Text of the Anecdotes in Majd Khavafi’s Rouzeh Khold

كتاب روضه خلد داراي هيجده باب، چهارصد و بيست حكايت و دو هزار و يكصد و چهل بيت شعر عربي و فارسي است. افزون بر حكايات، از حكمت، تمثيل، نكته، قصه، وعظ، خبر، فايده، و بيان نيز بهره فراوان دارد. از آنجا كه مجد خوافي واعظ بوده و مخاطبان او عموما عوام الناس، در نقل حكايات و امثال پيشينيان دقت كافي نداشته و بسياري از آنها را به سبب بي دقتي و يا براساس سليقه خود تغيير داده است. بعلاوه عناصر بسياري از داستانها را از منابع عربي و فارسي گرفته و آنها را تغيير داده است. در اين تحقيق با نگاهي به منابع روضه خلد، به دخل و تصرفات مجد خوافي در روايات و حكايات اين كتاب ميپردازيم.

Rouzeh Khold consists of eighteen B?bs (chapters), four hundred twenty anecdotes, and two thousand one hundred forty lines of Persian and Arabic poetry. In addition to anecdotes, this literary piece consists of sayings of wisdom, allegorical references, moralistic sayings, didactic verses, parables, reports, useful sayings, and expression as well. Since Khavafi was a preacher and his audience were mainly from the commoners, he has not been meticulous enough in narrating the anecdotes and has made changes to the original due to possible carelessness or based on his own preferences. He has also taken into account some elements from Persian and Arabic sources and made changes to them. This paper, therefore, is an attempt to zero in on the issue of manipulation of the text in the case of Rouzeh Khold in reference to its sources
