بررسي سير تحول اجتماعي نهادهاي فرهنگي و دانشگاهي در اروپا (از سده يازده تا پانزده ميلادي)

Surveying the Social Development of Cultural and Academic Institute in Europe

چگونگي پيدايش و سير تحول و شكوفايي نهادهاي فرهنگي و دانشگاهي در غرب موضوع پيچيده و دشواري است كه به‌سختي تن به پژوهش مي‌دهد. در اين مقاله نخست، با استناد به منابع معتبر، آراي چند مورخ برجسته تاريخ علم و قرون وسطي‌شناس صاحب‌نظر درباره نحوه پيدايش و تاسيس نهادها و مراكز دانشگاهي بررسي مي‌شود و تاريخ نسبتاً دقيقي در خصوص شكل‌گيري آن‌ها به‌دست مي‌آيد و سپس اجمالاً به رابطه استادان با دانشجويان و برنامه و مواد درسي و آموزشي آن‌ها اشاره مي‌شود. در همين زمينه به بررسي كشمكش‌ها و جدال‌هاي فكري و ديني در محيط‌هاي دانشگاهي پرداخته و از سوي ديگر به مواضع و رفتار ارباب كليسا در اين مورد اشاره مي‌شود. سرانجام به آميزه عقلاني و علمي حاصل از اين مناقشه‌ها، كه در اواخر قرون وسطي دست‌مايه پيشرفت تمدن اروپايي و سپس انقلاب علمي شد، اشاره مي‌شود.

The formation and evolution procedure of cultural and academic institutes in the Christian West is a complicated and difficult issue to study, and is hardly survivable. In this paper, based on valid references, the opinions of some remarkable historians of science and middle-ages scholars, regarding the advent and establishment of academic institutes and centers, are examined, and consequently a relatively exact date of the formations of the centers is obtained. Then the relation between professors and students, the course titles and educational details of the centers will be pointed out in brief. In this regard, on one hand, the thought and religious challenges in academic environments are investigated, and on the other hand, the behaviors of Church masters and their positioning are studied. Finally, I indicate to a combination of rationalization and science which is the results of these disputes, and was the source of development in European civilization and then a scientific revolution at the end of middle-ages
