موانع توليد مقاله علمي دندانپزشكي از نگاه دانشجويان تخصصي دانشكده‌هاي دندانپزشكي ايران

Barriers to the production of scientific dental articles in dental schools in Iran; the view of postgraduate students

زمينه و هدف: ميزان توليد مقالات علمی يكی از معيارهای توسعه يافتگی كشورها است. با توجه به وجود 18 دانشكده دندانپزشكی در كشور انتظار می‌رود توليد مقالات علمی دندانپزشكی بسيار بيشتر باشد. هدف از تحقيق حاضر بررسی نظر دانشجويان تخصصی دندانپزشكی در رابطه با موانع و مشكلات توليد مقاله علمی از تحقيقات علمی دندانپزشكی بود. روش بررسی: پرسشنامه خود ايفا در بين دانشجويان تخصصی تمام دانشكده‌های دندانپزشكی ايران در خرداد 89 توزيع شده و پاسخ‌ها تا آذر 89 جمع‌آوری شد. موانع توليد مقالات علمی به وسيله هشت جمله مورد سوال قرار گرفت. برای آناليز آماری ازآزمون Chi-square استفاده شد. يافته‌ها: در مجموع تعداد 270 پرسشنامه تكميل شده از 14 دانشكده جمع‌آوری شد. ميانگين سنی پاسخ‌دهندگان 8/3±6/29 سال بود و 53% آنها را مردان تشكيل می‌دادند. نزديك به نيمی از پاسخ‌دهندگان اعلام كردند كه دست كم يك مقاله علمی دندانپزشكی منتشر كرده‌اند. كمتر از نيمی از پاسخ‌دهندگان اعلام كردند كه از نتايج پايان‌نامه دوره عمومی، مقاله‌ای منتشر كرده‌اند. اين مطلب در زنان و در دانشجويان جوان‌تر بيش از سايرين صدق می‌كرد (05/0>P). شايع‌ترين موانع توليد مقالات علمی، فقدان مركزی برای ويرايش زبان انگليسی، فقدان انگيزه مالی،  فقدان شرايط مناسب، و عدم تسلط به اصول نگارش متون علمی گزارش شدند. نتيجه‌گيری: برای افزايش سهم دندانپزشكی ايران در توليد مقالات علمی دندانپزشكی، بايد به ظرفيت دانشجويان تخصصی دندانپزشكی توجه شده و با فراهم كردن شرايط مناسب، موانع توليد و انتشار مقاله علمی برطرف گردد. بخصوص با توجه به نتايج مطالعه حاضر، فراهم كردن شرايط ويرايش زبان انگليسی، برقراری عوامل انگيزشی مالی و فراهم كردن محيط مناسب برای نوشتن مقاله و ارايه آموزش‌های نوشتن مقالات علمی بايد در اولويت قرار بگيرد.

Background and Aims: The present study aimed to evaluate the barriers to the production of scientific dental articles in dental schools in Iran based on the opinions of dental postgraduate students.Materials and Methods: A self-administered questionnaire was distributed among postgraduate students of all Iranian dental schools in June 2010. The respondents rated their agreement with eight sentences about what hinder them from producing scientific dental articles based on a 5-grade Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Chi-square test.Results: Totally, 270 filled questionnaires from 14 dental schools were received. Of all respondents, 53% were male, the mean age were 29.6 ± 3.8. About half of the respondents reported at least one published article. Less than half of the respondents reported producing an article from undergraduate thesis; more women than men and more younger than older students (P<0.03). About two-third of the respondents rated absence of an English editing center, no financial incentives, no appropriate environment, and no competency for scientific writing as most prevalent barriers to the production of scientific dental articles.Conclusion: To expand the share of Iran in the production of scientific dental documents, the potential of postgraduate dental students must be regarded and suitable condition for scientific writing must be provided. Specifically, based on the findings of the present study, provision of an English editing facility, establishing financial incentives, and providing the students with appropriate environment and efficient scientific writing education are of utmost importance.
