The Method of Analyzing the Conceptual Components of Civilization

ويژگي ميان‌رشته‌اي بودن مطالعات «تمدن پژوهي»، دايره نگاه به مسايل اين حوزه را از حصر در يك يا چند دسته تخصصي خاص بيرون كرده و در گستره وسيع‌تري قرار مي‌دهد. اين چالش به‌ويژه در تحليل اصل مفهوم تمدن بيش از هر جاي ديگر خود را نمايان مي‌سازد، چراكه ما با واژه‌اي چندوجهي روبه‌رو هستيم كه مفاهيم هم‌عرض ديگري را نيز در جنب خود قرار مي‌دهد؛ مقوله‌هاي انسان، فرهنگ، جامعه، تاريخ، و دين، واژگان هم‌خانواده مفهوم تمدن به حساب آمده و حل گره فهم كرانه‌هاي ناپيداي اين معنا، در گرو فهم پيكره اين خانواده است. از سويي پيراستن حوزه مفهومي هر واژه و از سوي ديگر در‌هم‌تنيدن نظام‌واره آن‌ها با يك‌ديگر تا نسبت تاثير هر كدام در ديگري آشكار شده و در نهايت به تعريف نظام‌مندي دست يابيم. در مقدمه، پس از اشاره به هدف مقاله در تعيين مولفه‌هاي مفهومي تمدن (به جاي تعريف آن) به فرض‌هاي سه‌گانه «عدم تحقق تمدن اسلامي در دنياي معاصر» و «ضرورت ايجاد تمدن نوين اسلامي» و نيز «امكان تحقق تمدن نوين اسلامي» اشاره مي‌شود و سپس در گام نخست و به جهت تحليل روشمند مسيله، از مدل «مجموعه‌نگر» ياد مي‌كنيم كه مهم‌ترين ويژگي آن، نگاه به مفاهيم هم‌تراز به صورت سيستمي است و آن‌گاه با تحليل نسبت مفهوم تمدن با چهار واژه ديگر به ارايه برداشتي جديد از تمدن دست خواهيم يافت. بيان امتيازات و مراحل پنج‌گانه مدل تحليل، بخش ديگر مقاله را تشكيل مي‌دهد و بر اين پايه و با نظر به كاربرد واژه تمدن غربي در دنياي كنوني، نشان داده مي‌شود كه مدل مطرح با تحليل مولفه‌هاي مورد نظر، علاوه بر رعايت اصل سازگاري درون منطقي، توان تحليل وضعيت موجود تمدن غالب را نيز داراست و به همين سبب سخن از نمود يك تحليل جامع مي‌رود. در نهايت بر اساس مفهوم به دست آمده و با القاي خصوصيت از معناي تمدن غربي، سعي در رونمايي مولفه‌هاي مفهومي تمدن خواهد داشت. بدين‌سان از مولفه‌هاي هشت‌گانه سخن به ميان مي‌آيد: سيطره فراملي، اراده جمعي و انساني؛ عنصر سرزمين و مهد؛ منحصرنبودن به مرزهاي جغرافيايي؛ شموليت در روابط انساني؛ نفوذ و برتري‌طلبي؛ تعالي‌جويي؛ و تاثير در تحولات تاريخي. دست آخر با تطبيق عناصر تحليلي فوق، نيم‌نگاهي نيز به مفهوم تمدن اسلامي مي‌اندازيم.

Interdisciplinary nature of ‘researching civilization’ studies expands the domain of its issues from some certain specialized categories to a wider range. This challenge appears especially in the analyzing the concept of civilization more than anywhere else; because here we deal with a multidimensional word which carries another parallel concepts along with. Concepts like human, culture, society, history, religion, are considered as synonyms of the concept of civilization. So solving the problem of understanding the unreachable sides of the meaning of the word depends on the understanding the whole body of the synonymous words; on the one hand the conceptual realm of each word should be trimmed and on the other their pseudo-systems should be convoluted in order to we could reveal their relative impact on each other and achieve a systematic definition for the word. In the introduction, after pointing out the paperʹs aims in determining the conceptual components of civilization (rather than defining it), we will mention tripod assumptions of ‘non-realization of Islamic civilization in the modern world’ ‘necessity of establishing a modern Islamic civilization’ and ‘the possibility of such a civilization’. Then as a first step towards a systematic analysis of the problem, we talk about the ‘set-oriented’ model which looks systematically at par implications, and then by analyzing the relation between the civilization concept and four other terms we will provide a new interpretation of civilization. The privileges and five stages of the analysis, will constitute the next part of the paper, according to which and regarding the application of ‘Western Civilization’ in the world today, it is shown that the proposed model self-consistently is capable to analyze the current situation of the dominant civilization too, and that is why the paper talks about the appearance of a comprehensive analysis. Finally, based on the achieved concept and infused quality of the western civilization, this paper will try to reveal conceptual components of civilization. We will talk about the eight components: transnational dominance; collective and human will; ‘land and cradle’ element; geographic boundaries non-limitation; human relationships inclusion; influence and supremacy; seeking excellence, and the impact on historical developments. Finally through comparing the elements of the mentioned analysis, we will have a quick look on Islamic civilization concept.
