خيال و ابژكتيويته در نقد اول كانت

Imagination and Objectivity in Kant’s First Critique

اين مقال، نخست به پيشينه بحث خيال مي‌پردازد و بدين ‌طريق تاثيرگذاران بر كانت را روشن مي‌نمايد. پس از آن توضيحي در باب ابژكتيويته داده مي‌شود و سپس به بحث از خيال در نقد عقل محض پرداخته مي‌شود. قوه خيال در نظام شناختي كانت داراي جايگاهي منحصر به فرد است. اين نقش به مراتب، فعالانه‌تر از جايگاه خيال در نظام‌هاي فلسفي پيش از كانت است. خيال از سويي در بحث مهم و پيچيده استنتاج استعلايي مقولات فاهمه، فعال است و از سوي ديگر در بحث شاكله‌سازي اين مقولات. اين‌ها هر دو در فرآيند «ابژكتيو»شدن شناخت حايز اهميتند. به علاوه صور پيشين مكان و زمان، مولود فعاليت اين قوه‌اند. همه اين امور نشانگر برجستگي خيال در معرفت‌شناسي اين فيلسوف هستند؛ امري كه در اخلاف بلافصل وي به وضوح اثر آن آشكار شد. البته اين برجستگي، در عين اهميت آن مي‌تواند آفتي براي معرفت‌شناسي دانسته ‌شود چرا كه ابژكتيويته را مبتني بر سوژه مي‌نمايد.

This article first deals with the historical background of imagination and those who influenced Kant. Then, objectivity is explained and finally, the role of imagination in the Critique of Pure Reason is discussed. Imagination as a mental faculty has a unique place in Kant’s cognitive system. It plays a more active role in his system than it does in the philosophical systems before Kant. On the one hand, imagination is active in the sophisticated discussion of the transcendental deduction of the categories of understanding. On the other hand, it is active in schematism of the categories. Both of them are important in the objectivity of knowledge. The a priori forms of space and time are born of this faculty. All these are indicative of imagination’s prominent position in Kant’s epistemology; the issue that can be seen clearly in Kantʹs immediate successors. However, this prominence may be seen as a shortcoming in epistemology since it hinges objectivity on the subject.
