امر به معروف و نهي از منكر در انديشه و رفتار سياسي معتزله

‘Enjoining the good and prohibiting the evil’ from the viewpoint of the Mo’tazilite political thought and behavior

در اين مقاله به تبيين مباني كلامي امر به معروف و نهي از منكر در زمينه هاي عقلي، شرعي، كفايي و مراتب و شرايط آن پرداخته مي شود. آن-گاه انديشه سياسي معتزله در نسبت ميان امر به معروف و نهي از منكر با مفاهيم و مسايلي چون، امامت و خروج بر امام، دارالكفر و دارالاسلام، تقيّه، اصلاح، انقلاب، آزادي و حكومت مروانيان و عباسيان بررسي مي گردد. هم-چنين رفتار سياسي معتزله بر پايه امر به معروف و نهي از منكر نيز مورد كاوش قرار مي گيرد. سپس عملكرد بخشي از معتزله نسبت به اين اصل را در مناصب حكومتي از زمان مامون تا واثق مي پژوهد. در بخش پاياني نيز به جريان شناسي معتزله بر اساس اصل پنجم از اصول پنج گانه معتزله (امر به معروف و نهي از منكر) پرداخته مي شود. بر اين پايه سه رهيافت مبارزه مثبت، مبارزه منفي و شركت در قدرت مورد اشاره قرار مي گيرد و بر شبه ايديولوژيك بودن دولت معتزلي تاكيد مي شود.

This paper presents a theological [kal?m] explanation of ‘enjoining the good and prohibiting the evil’ and its conditions and levels on the basis of reason [‘aql], divine law [shar’], and sufficiency [kif?ya]. Then, the political thought of the Mo’tazilites is explained on the basis of the relationship between ‘enjoining the good and prohibiting the evil’ and concepts such as imamate, rebellion against Imam, the land of the pagans and the land of Islam, concealment [taqiyyah], reform, revolution, freedom, and the Marwanid and Abbasid governments. The paper also studies the political behavior of the Mo’tazilite with respect to ‘enjoining the good and prohibiting the evil’, concentrating on the behavior of some Mo’tazilites holding administrative positions according to this principle from the reign of Ma’moon till Wathiq. Finally, the paper studies Mo’tazilite as movement with respect to the same principle and mentions three approaches of positive resistance, negative resistance, and participation in the power structure with an emphasis on the pseudo-ideological nature of the Mo’tazilite government.
