The Impact of Emancipatory Epistemology of Frankfurt School on International Relations Theory

نظريه انتقادي با تكيه بر قدرت تجويزي در عرصه روابط بين‌الملل، خواستار رسيدگي به رهايي انسان‌ها از تمام بندهاي ساختاري و هويتي است كه تحت لواي مفاهيمي مسلط، مقدس پنداشته شده‌اند. اين قصد با تكيه بر شكلي از معرفت‌شناسي صورت مي‌گيرد كه نظريه پردازان نسل اول و دوم مكتب انتقادي فرانكفورت، در مقابل معرفت‌شناسي پوزيتيويسم صورتبندي كرده‌اند. باتوجه به اهميت و ضرورت بررسي اين معرفت‌شناسي و تاثير آن در نظريه‌هاي روابط بين‌الملل اين مقاله تلاشي از يك منظر خاص براي نشان دادن تاثير معرفت رهايي‌بخش در نظريه‌هاي روابط بين‌الملل است از ديگر سو، بررسي سهم نظريه انتقادي مكتب فرانكفورت در حوزه روابط مدّتوجه مي‌باشد. از اين‌رو سيوال نگارندگان اين مقاله اين است كه ويژگي‌هاي معرفت‌شناختي نظريه انتقادي چه تاثيري در نظريه‌هاي روابط بين‌الملل داشته است؟ و فرضيه‌اي كه در قالب پاسخ به اين سيوال مدنظر قرارداديم اين است كه اين تاثير، طيف گسترده‌اي از مسايل از قبيل هويت دولت، جنسيت، فقر و نابرابري، جنگ و صلح و... را در قالب نظريه‌هاي مختلف شامل شده است.

The critical theory, on the basis of prescriptive power in the realm of international relations, seeks to deal with the emancipation of men from all structural and identity bonds, considered scared, under some hegemonic concepts. This goal is pursued by relying upon a form of epistemology formulated by the first and second generation theorists of Frankfurt epistemology. The importance and necessity of studying this kind of epistemology and its impact on international relations theory have prompted the authors to show the impact of an emancipatory epistemology on international relations theory from a certain perspective, on the one hand, and to study the contribution of the critical theory of Frankfurt school in the realm of international relations, on the other hand. Therefore, the question posed by the authors is that what are the effects of epistemological features of the critical theory on international relations theory? The hypothesis advanced by the authors is that the impact of these features captures a wide range of issues such as state identity, gender, poverty and inequality, war and peace, etc., in the form of different theories
