در اين مقاله هوش سياسي، ابعاد و كاركرد‌ها‌ي آن در سازمان مطالعه مي‌گردد. ازآنجاكه رفتار سياسي در سازمان‌ها‌ي امروزي اجتناب‌ناپذير است، لذا آشنايي با هوش سياسي به هدايت رفتار سياسي كمك شاياني مي‌كند. انسان‌ها‌ي هوشمند بهتر از ديگران مي‌توانند راه خود را در موقعيت‌ها‌ي پيچيده پيدا كنند. انسان‌ها‌ تنها با بهره‌‌‌‌مندي از هوش عقلايي و هيجاني نمي‌توانند به موفقيت دست يابند بلكه نيازمند مهارت‌ها‌ي مهم اجتماعي ديگري هم هستند كه هوش سياسي يكي از آن‌ها‌ست. با استفاده از هوش سياسي و اعمال قدرت و نفوذ مي‌توان به اهداف دست يافت. ولي ازآنجاكه رفتار سياسي اغلب توام با هزينه است، معمولاً اين‌گونه رفتارهاي گزينشي است. نزديكي به قدرت تصميم‌گيري در ساختار‌ها‌ي ديوان‌سالار، تشكيل ايتلاف، تلاش براي اثرگذاري بر فرايند تصميم‌سازي و حتي تصميم‌گيري و... بيانگر رفتار سياسي است. افراد با گسترش روابطشان با ديگر اعضاي جامعه هوش سياسي و ساير مهارت‌ها‌ي اجتماعي خود را افزايش مي‌دهند. اما با توجه به اهميت هوش سياسي، در متون علمي كمتر بدان توجه شده است. در اين مقاله ابعاد و مولفه‌ها‌ي هوش سياسي تحليل و سپس، مدل جديدي از ابعاد هوش سياسي ارايه شده است.
