A Criticism of Typological Studies of Religiosity and Presentation of a New Model

بررسي‌هاي چندگانه در سطوح و جوانب مختلف مطالعات گونه‌شناسي دينداري داخلي نشان مي‌دهد كه اين پژوهش‌ها فاقد الگويي جامع و منطقي براي گونه‌شناسي دينداري‌اند. اين فقدان الگو و چارچوب مطالعه از حيث منطق، فرايند و روش مطالعه، تحقيقات پيشين در اين زمينه را دچار آشفتگي‌هاي عديده و نقايص جدي ساخته است. احراز اين مدعا، مستلزم مرور و نقادي تحقيقات گونه‌شناسي دينداري به‌منظور دستيابي به الگويي براي مطالعات گونه‌شناسي دينداري آتي است. نتايج اين تتبع و نقادي، در پژوهش حاضر نشان مي‌دهد، نقايص مطالعات پيشين، ناظر بر: عدم تعريف دقيق مفاهيم، عدم اشاره به شيوه، موضوع و معيار گونه‌شناسي، تشريح نساختن مسير مطالعه و نهايتاً فاقد منطق بودن اين گونه‌شناسي‌ها است. اين پژوهش با ارايه «نقشه پيشينه» مطالعات گونه‌شناسي دينداري، راهكارهايي را جهت رفع اين كاستي‌ها پيشنهاد نموده و نهايتاً چارچوب پيشنهادي خود را براي مطالعات گونه‌شناسي دينداري ارايه مي‌نمايد.

Multifaceted studies of different levels and aspects of domestic typological studies of religiosity indicate that these studies lack a comprehensive and logical model for typological study of religiosity. This lack of model and framework, has caused the previous studies suffer from several disarrays and serious defects. In order to prove this contention, it is necessary to review and critically study the typological studies of religiosi-ty in order to attain a model for future typological studies of religiosity. The findings of the present critical study and research indicate that the shortcomings of the previous studies include the followings: lack of prop-er definition of concepts, lack of allusion to the method, subject and criterion for typology, lack of illustra-tion of the path of study and finally lack of logic in these typological studies. Through offering a “back-ground map” of typological studies of religiosity, the present paper has presented some solutions for removal of the said shortcomings and finally has proposed a framework for typological study of religiosity.
