In the course of a faunistic survey on oribatid mites (Acari, Oribatida) of Caspian coast city of Rasht, Guilan province, the species Eremobelba geographica Berlese, 1908 of the family Eremobelbidae was collected and identified. This species is newly recorded from Iran and Asia.
