تاثير احساس استيگما (داغ اجتماعي) در سلامت روان مادران كودكان با اختلالات طيف اتيسم

The Impact of Perceived Stigma on Mental Health of Mothers of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders

مراقبت از كودك اتيسم طاقت‌فرسا است و استرس زيادي براي والدين ايجاد مي‌كند. يكي از منابع مهم استرس كه سهم قابل ملاحظه‌اي در پايين آوردن سلامت روان دارد، شدت علايم اتيسم (اتيسم بهر) و احساس استيگما است. هدف از تحقيق حاضر، بررسي تاثير احساس استيگما، سن و اتيسم بهر كودك در سلامت روان مادران با كودكان داراي اختلالات طيف اتيسم (ASD) بود. 94 تن از مادران كودكان اتيسمي كه در مراكز آموزشي و توانبخشي ويژه كودكان اتيسم آموزش مي‌ديدند. پرسش‌نـامه‌هاي سلامـت روانـي عمومـي (GHQ)، احساس استيگما كه توسط محققان تهيه و هنجاريابي شد و مقيـاس درجـه‌بندي اتيسم گيليام (GARS) را پر كردند. مدل معادله ساختاري براي تحليل داده‌ها استفاده شد. نتايج نشان داد كه احساس استيگما تاثير مستقيم و اتيسم بهر و سن كودك تاثير غيرمستقيم به واسطه احساس استيگما بر سلامت روان مادران داشت. بر اساس اين مدل 70% تغييرات فردي در سلامت روان مادران را مي‌توان بر اساس احساس استيگما پيش‌بيني كرد. طبق يافته‌هاي اين تحقيق، به منظور بالا بردن سطح سلامت روان مادران كودكان اتيسم، برنامه‌هاي آموزشي براي قدرتمندسازي در برابر استيگما به شدت توصيه مي‌شود.

Having a child with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is a burden and produces a huge stress for their parents. Perceived stigma and severity of diagnostic signs (autism quotient) are founded as main sources of stress that may explain increased problems in parentʹs mental health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impacts of perceived stigma, childʹs autism quotient, and age on the mental health of mothers of children with ASD. As such, 94 mothers whose children had been educated in Special center for education and rehabilitation for autistic children in Isfahan and Shahrekord completed General Health Questionnaire (GHQ), Perceived Stigma Questionnaire developed by researchers, Gilliam Autism Rating Scale (GARS). Structural equation model was used to analyze the data by Amos Graphic-18. It was found that perceived stigma had direct significant effect, and childʹs autism quotient and age had indirect significant effect mediated by perceived stigma on mothersʹ mental health and this model explains 70% of variance of motherʹs mental health predicted by perceived stigma in mothers. According to the findings of this study, to promote mental health in mothers with autism children, educational programs are in need that will empower mothers of children with ASD against stigma.
