The Application of Women Clothing Motifs of Safavid Paintings in Modern Clothing, with an Emphasis on Security, Identity and Peace

منطقه ي لواسانات و رودبار قصران در حال حاضر جز تقسيمات استان تهران و بخشي از شهرستان شميرانات به شمار مي رود. در گذشته، اين نواحي با اصطلاحات قصران داخل و قصران خارج شناخته مي شده اند و در طول تاريخ پرنشيب و فراز خود، حكومتهاي مختلفي حاكميت اين ناحيه را در دست گرفته اند. اين نواحي به دليل نوع آب و هواي سرد، كوهستاني و خشن خود و نيز صعب العبور بودن، مامن و پناهگاه بسياري از كساني بوده است كه از دست حكومتهاي مركزي، مانند امويان و عباسيان، فراري بوده اند. از جمله ي اين افراد، علويان و افراد منسوب به خاندان پيامبراند. بيشترين ميزان وجود و تمركز امامزادگان و بقاع متبركه در نواحي زاگرس و البرز ديده مي شود. در منطقه ي لواسان و رودبارقصران، تعداد نسبتاً زيادي از اين بقاع به چشم مي خورد كه در بررسيهاي انجام شده در اين منطقه، به چند صندوق/ ضريح مربوط به ادوار مختلف، از جمله دوران تيموري، صفوي، و احتمالاً دوران قاجار برخورد شد. بر روي اين صندوقها كتيبه ها و نوشته هاي متعددي به چشم مي خورد. اين كتيبه ها و نوشته ها شامل آيات قرآن، اشعار مختلف، كلمات و الفاظ مقدس و اسما جلاله، همچنين ذكر نامهاي ايمه و معصومين عليهم السلام مي شود كه به شكل كلي تقريباً همگي آنها مرتبط با مرگ، جهان باقي، جمع آوري توشه ي آخرت و ... است. در اين مقاله، كتيبه هاي موجود برروي اين صندوقها با توجه به موضوعات و مضامين آنها، حتي الامكان بازخواني و دسته بندي شده و تزيينات و آرايشهاي موجود بر روي هركدام از آنها بررسي شده است.

In complex processes of todayʹs society, the concept of security and mind, emotional and intuitive peace for human beings is more important because lack or impaired in any of them may have a negative impact on the whole community and may generally lead to lack of stability in the Social Security. One of the best ways to achieve peace is considering aesthetics and beauty loving of people, which has a direct impact on the visual comfort and the ideal view of society. In this way, the clothing, from past until now, is an opportunity for seeking a sense of beauty through the symbols, characters and varied motifs. Decorative motifs can provide a pleasant and beautiful effect in accordance with the requirements of the physical, emotional and human nature. In fact, the patterns are the representations of cultural, artistic and religious potentials of a society where the artist lived in. Geometric and plant designs including arabesques, Khataei and Shah Abbassi flowers are of beautiful, graceful and varied motifs that have the ability to be adapted and be performed on a variety of materials such as tile, fabric and carpet. Safavid fabrics and used motifs, either in the same period or in the next periods, show the reflection of the beliefs and the aesthetic sense of the artists. This paper attempts to study the wall paintings and graphical motifs of the Safavid period, used in their clothing, and examine the application way of them in modern clothing, to find their impact on the human visual and mind peace. Aims: 1- To study the use of decorative motifs of womenʹs clothing in Safavid paintings and murals 2- How to use these motifs in today’s clothing and studying their impact on the peace and security of the society. 3- Understanding the concepts used in the Safavid clothing motifs to transmit them to the contemporary clothing design Research Questions: 1- What kind of decorative motifs were used in Safavid womenʹs clothing, both in textile design and paintings? 2- Can these motifs be used in decoration of today’s clothing? 3- What are the concepts used in motifs to achieve peace and lead the society?
