نقد اسطوره‌اي، به كشف اسطوره‌ها و كهن الگوها و چگونگي آنها در ادبيات مي‌پردازد. رمان خوف نوشته شيوا ارسطويي، رماني است كه مي‌توان در لايه‌هاي پنهان آن نشانه‌هاي كهن الگويي و اسطوره‌اي را يافت و با تحليل آنها به خوانش تازه‌اي از متن رسيد. هدف اين مقاله رديابي ويژگي هاي اسطوره‌اي و كهن الگوييِ اين رمان بر مبناي نقد اسطوره‌اي است. خوانش رمان خوف، با اين روش، علاوه بر آشكار كردن جهان نمادين آن و يافتن رمزگان‌هاي اساطيري، نشان مي‌دهد كه يكي از بن‌مايه هاي اصلي در اين رمان مسخِ ايزد- بانوان است. ايزد- بانوان اساطيري، در دنياي مدرن، در مقابله با سايه و وجه مردانه خود قرار گرفته، دگرگوني يافته و ويژگي هاي الهگي را از دست داده‌اند.شخصيت اصلي رمان خوف بر اثر ترس زياد و در مواجه با وجه مردانه ذهن خود كه از سويي نماد قدرت نيز هست، تضعيف شده و به تدريج قدرت خود را از دست داده و در نهايت مسخ شده و به شكل موش درمي آيد.

Mythological criticism is about the discovery of myths and archetypes and also their role in literature. The novel "Khof" by Shiva Arastueei is a novel in which we can find the archetypical and mythological signs and also reach the new performance by analyzing them. The aim of this paper is to seek the mythological and archetypical characteristics of this novel based on the mythological criticism. The performance of this novel, in addition to revealing its symbolic world and also finding the mythological secrets, shows that one of the main themes in this novel is the transformation of Female God. This God which was the symbol of power, reproduction and abundance was transformed into the other theme against the power of men in the modern world and also lost its Divine characteristics. The main character of this novel was a strong and beautiful woman whose power became weak because of her fear and against her masculine mind which was presented as the son of a colonel in the story and also it is the symbol of power and then, it gradually lost its power. And at the end, it will be transformed and changed into a mouse.
