The Relationship Between Sensory Processing Styles and Marital Satisfaction

پژوهش حاضر به بررسي رابطه سبك‌هاي پردازش حسي با رضايتمندي زناشويي پرداخته است. نمونه پژوهش شامل 136 زوج (272 نفر) ساكن شهر تهران بود كه به روش نمونه‌گيري در دسترس انتخاب شدند. ابزارهاي پژوهش عبارتند از پروفايل پردازش حسي نوجوان ـ بزرگسال (براون و دان، 2002). فرم 40 سوالي مقياس رضايتمندي زناشويي انريچ، هنجار شده براي جامعه ايراني (عسگري، بهمني و تمدني، 1385). داده‌هاي پژوهش با روش همبستگي پيرسون تجزيه و تحليل شد. نتايج نشان داد كه سبك جست‌وجوگري حسي در زنان و مردان با رضايتمندي زناشويي آن‌ها و همسران‌شان رابطه مثبت معنادار دارد و سبك‌هاي پردازش حسي ثبت پايين، اجتناب‌گري حسي و حساسيت‌پذيري حسي در زنان و مردان با رضايتمندي زناشويي آن‌ها و همسران‌شان رابطه منفي معنادار دارد. نتايج حاصل از بررسي رابطه احتمالي فاصله نمرات زوجين در هر سبك پردازش حسي با رضايتمندي زناشويي آن‌ها، نشان داد فاصله نمرات زن و شوهر در جست‌وجوگري حسي و اجتناب‌گري حسي با رضايتمندي زناشويي مردان رابطه مثبت معنادار دارد و فاصله نمرات زن و شوهر در ثبت پايين با رضايتمندي زناشويي زنان و مردان رابطه منفي معنادار دارد.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between sensory processing styles and marital satisfaction. The following self-report measures were given to 136 participant couples (272 women and men) from Tehran who were selected through available sampling and completed Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile and Enrich marital satisfaction scale. Data was analyzed through Pearson correlation method. Research findings indicated a positive significant relationship between couple’s sensation seeking and marital satisfaction of themselves and their partners; and there is a negative significant relationship between couple’s low registration, sensation avoiding and sensory sensitivity styles and marital satisfaction of themselves and their partners. Results of relationship between men and women’s score distance in each sensory processing style and marital satisfaction indicate that there is a positive significant relationship between couples score distance in sensation seeking and sensation avoiding and men’s marital satisfaction; and there is a negative significant relationship between couples score distance in low registration and their marital satisfaction.
