The Role of Substantial Movement on the Transcendence of Human Soul

حركت نشان از اشتداد هستي موجود متحرك دارد. لذا در تفكر صدرايي، حركت امري وجودي است، نه ماهوي، ولي به دليل اتحاد ماهيت با وجود، حركت به جوهر نسبت داده مي‌شود. معناي حركت جوهري اين است كه هر صورت حادث، مشتمل بر آثار و كمالات صور قبلي نيز هست و جريان حركت به نحو «لبس بعد از لبس» است. اثبات حدوث جسماني نفس، وحدت نفس با قواي آن و جامع اكوان ثلاثه بودن انسان، از دست‌آوردهاي حركت جوهري است. صدرا بر مبناي «حدوث جسماني نفس» و «حركت اشتدادي جوهري»، نفس انساني را در آغاز، جسماني مي‌داند كه با حركت تكاملي، مادي- مثالي و سپس مثالي محض خواهد شد و سرانجام به مرتبه تجرد عقلي مي‌رسد. نفس حقيقتي ذومراتب است كه بدن، مرتبه نازله آن است و هر فعل و انفعالي كه در يك مرتبه رخ دهد، با فعل و انفعال در مراتب ديگر مرتبط است.

According to Mulla Sadra, motion is passing from potentiality to actuality gradually. He has not meant of substantial movement, the substance is moving, but the movement has been devoted to the being, not to the quiddity, because the essence unified with the being externally. According to Mulla Sadra’s philosophy all originated things are moving in a manner such as covering after covering. Approving the corporeal origination of soul, unity of the soul with its faculties and regarding human beings as the comprehensive being, is the results of substantial motion. He, on the basis of corporeal generation of the soul and substantial gradational motion, regards the human as a corporeal substance at the beginning which then can elevate from matter to quantitative ideas and then to intellectual truths. Accordingly, human souls have many gradations which the lowest is the body, so the souls are changing from one stage to the other.
