لوسين گلدمن (1970-1913م) پژوهشگر سرشناس حوزه جامعه‌‌شناسي ادبيات و رمان است. وي با پيروي از نظريه كارل ماركس به بررسي ارتباط اثر ادبي با جامعه پرداخت؛ پس از آن حوزه پژوهش‌‌هاي جامعه‌‌شناسانه خود را به جامعه‌‌شناسي رمان منحصر كرد و روش جديدي را در پيش گرفت كه آن را ساخت‌گرايي تكويني ناميد. او در روش خود در پيِ برقراريِ پيوندي معنادار ميان فرم ادبي و مهم‌تر‌‌ين جنبه‌‌هاي زندگي اجتماعي بود. در ‌ساخت‌گرايي تكويني به جنبه‌‌هاي تاريخي توجّه ويژه‌‌اي مي‌‌شود. احمد محمود (1310-1381 ش) نويسنده خطه جنوب ايران است. وي را به دليل پرداختن به زندگي واقعي طبقه كارگر و ضعيف جامعه، نماينده رياليسم اجتماعي مي‌‌دانند. همسايه‌‌ها اولين رمان محمود است كه به دليل پرداختن به زندگي مردم جامعه به‌‌عنوان اثري اجتماعي قابل بررسي است. در اين مقاله، اين رمان به روش ساخت‌گرايي تكويني گلدمن از منظر نقد جامعه‌‌شناسانه بررسي شده است. رمان همسايه‌‌ها به دليل پرداختن به مسايل جامعه ايران در دهه 20، از جمله حضور نيروهاي انگليسي در ايران، غارت نفت، ملّي شدن اين صنعت، اعتصابات كارگران و از اين قبيل، اثري رياليستي است و بسياري از مولفه‌‌هاي روش ساخت‌گرايي تكويني گلدمن بر آن قابل انطباق است.

Lucien Goldman (1913-1970) is the popular researcher of the sociological fields of literary criticism especially novel. H studied the relationship between literary work and society by following Karl Marx’s theories; then, he limited the field of his sociological researches to the sociology of novels and followed a new method called evolutionary structuralism. Goldman constantly tried to make a meaningful relationship between literary form and the most important aspects of social life. In evolutionary structuralism, especial attention was attributed to the historical aspects. Ahmad Mahmoud (1310-1381) is the writer from the south of Iran. He is the representative of social realism writer because of his attention to the realism life of the worker and weak class. Hamsayeha (Neighbors) is his first novel which is considerable as the most prominent social work [because it is about the life of people]. In this article, this novel was criticized in terms of sociological criticism by the evolutionary structuralism. Hamsayeha (Neighbors) is a realistic work because it is limited to the problems of Iran’s society during 20th decade, for example, the presence of England forces in Iran, oil plunder, nationalization of the oil industry and protest of workers and most of the elements of his evolutionary structuralism are consistent with the above mentioned points.
