Role of Coach’s Leadership Style in Predicting Player’s Emotional Intelligence

هدف از این مطالعه، شناخت نقش سبك رهبری مربیان باشگاه­های منتخب لیگ برتر فوتبال ایران در پیش بینی هوش هیجانی بازیكنان می­باشد. پژوهش به روش ­توصیفی و ­نمونه­ گیری به شیوه در­ دسترس انجام شد. جامعۀ آماری این پژوهش را تمامی بازیكنان پنج باشگاه منتخب لیگ برتر فوتبال (استقلال تهران، سپاهان اصفهان­، تراكتور­سازی تبریز، مس كرمان و مقاومت شهید­­ سپاسی شیراز) به تعداد 106 نفر تشكیل دادند (نمونۀ آماری برابر با جامعۀ آماری در نظر گرفته شد). از مجموع پرسش­نامه­ ها، 91 پرسش­نامه قابل­ استفاده بود كه مورد تجزیه ­و­تحلیل قرار گرفت. نتایج نشان داد كه ارتباط ­مثبت و معناداری بین سبك رهبری مربیان و هوش هیجانی بازیكنان وجود دارد. بین رفتار آموزشی و تمرینی رفتار دموكراتیك مربیان با هوش هیجانی بازیكنان نیز رابطۀ مثبت و معناداری مشاهده شد، اما بین رفتار آمرانه، رفتار حمایت اجتماعی و رفتار بازخورد مثبت مربیان با هوش هیجانی بازیكنان رابطۀ معناداری به­دست نیامد. همچنین، از میان ابعاد خودآگاهی، خودتنظیمی، خودانگیزی، همدلی و مهارت­های اجتماعی هوش هیجانی­، سبك رهبری مربیان تنها با خودآگاهی بازیكنان رابطۀ معناداری را نشان داد­. همچنین، تنها ­سبك رهبری دموكراتیك مربیان پیش­ بینی­ كنندۀ هوش هیجانی بازیكنان بود. 

The main purpose of this study was to examine the role of coach’s leadership style of elected super-league football’s clubs of Iran in predicting player’s emotional intelligence. The Method of this study was, descriptive and correlation type. The Subject of this Study was all of 106 Football players in 5 elected super-league football’s clubs of Iran (Esteghlal Tehran, Sepahan Esfahan, Teraktorsazi Tabriz, Mess kerman, Shahid Sepasi Shiraz). 93 Questionnaires were returned and data were analyzed from 91. The Instrument included basic demographic information, Leadership Style Scale from Chelladurai and Emotional Intelligence scale from Sibeyria Shering (1998). Reliability was Compute from Alpha Cronbache .For Data analysis statistical technique (Pearson & Spearman Correlation and simple liner regression) were used. A Positive and significant Correlation was found between coach’s leadership style and player’s emotional intelligence. Moreover, a positive and significant correlation was found between coach’s training & instructional behavior and Player emotional intelligence. Also, a positive and significant correlation was obtained between coach’s democratic behavior player emotional intelligence. There were no significant correlation between coach’s autocratic, social support and positive feedback behaviors and Players emotional intelligence. Moreover, A Positive and Significant Correlation were found between coach’s leadership style and self-Motivation. There was no significant correlation between coach’s leadership style &other dimension of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy and social skills. Among the dimensions of coach’s leadership style only democratic behavior Predicted Payers emotional intelligence.
