پوشش زن جاهلي و امكان حجاب شرعي در عصر پيامبر (ص)

Clothing of the Jaheli Period woman and the Possibility of Legal Hijab in Time of Prophet Mohammad –PBUH

حجاب امروزيِ زن مسلمان دربردارنده پوششي كامل است؛ هرچند در لزوم پوشاندن گردي صورت و دست‌ها (از مچ به پايين) اختلافاتي ميان فقها وجود دارد. يك منبع مهم براي اثبات لزوم چنين حجابي، آيات قرآن است. در تفسير آيات مربوط به حجاب نيز بايد مشخص شود كه آيا وضعيت كنوني حجاب زنان از زمان پيامبر اكرم(ص) شكل گرفته و امتداد يافته است يا آن‌كه در زمان ايشان تنها يك حجاب معمولي، در حد امكانات پوششي آن زمان، شكل گرفته و پيروان شريعت بعداً آن را تا حد حجاب معروف امروزي توسعه داده‌‌اند. براي اثبات اين‌كه در زمان پيامبر اكرم(ص)‌ همين حجاب كامل امروزي وجود داشته يا نه، بايد به اين پرسش نيز پاسخ گفت كه آيا مؤلفه‌هاي فرهنگي و اجتماعي آن روزگار، مانند وضعيت لباس‌هاي زنانه و...، مانع تحقق چنين حجابي نمي‌شده است. اين مقاله در صدد است با جستار در منابع لغوي، روايي، تاريخي و ادبي، به مطالعه امكانات فرهنگي ـ اجتماعي آن روزگار پرداخته و مشخص كند كه آيا فرهنگ پوششي آن روزگار مانع از تحقق حجاب شرعيِ حداكثري مي‌شده يا خير.

Regardless of the variation of ideas among religious authorities concerning the covering of face and hands –from wrist till down, the present hijab of Muslim woman is deemed to be perfect. An important source to approve the necessity of this hijab is definitely the verses of Holy Quran. Through the interpretation of the related verses, it should be clarified whether the present status of women’s hijab has been developed since the time of Prophet Mohammad or in that time there existed just an ordinary hijab to the extent of the facilities of that time, and it has been consequently developed resembling the wellknown present hijab by the followers of religion. In order to approve the presence of this very perfect hijab in time of prophet Mohammed, it should be answered to this question in regard with the presence of the social and cultural elements of that time such as the conditions of women’s clothing being possibly as an obstacle towards the fulfillment of such hijab. Through searching in the lexical, narrative, historical and literary sources, this article has investigated the culturalsocial possibilities of that time and clarified whether the culture of clothing of that time has been an obstacle towards the fulfillment of legal hijab of the majority of people or not.
