كتاب«گزيدۀ غزليات بيدل» نوشتۀ محقّق و شاعر خوش ذوق افغاني، محمدكاظم كاظمي، اثري است بسيار ارزشمند و شايان توجه كه بيانگر احاطۀ ايشان بر افكار و عقايد و اشعار بيدل دهلوي است؛ با اين حال، گاهي نگاه خاص و در بعضي ابيات خوانش نادرست و نگاه سطحي با تكيه بر فرضياتي نه چندان قابل قبول و تأمل برانگيز، اين كتاب را بايستۀ نقد مي كند؛ از جمله بي توجهي به خوشه هاي خيال يا شبكۀ تصويرها در شعر بيدل، بي توجهي به ابعاد هنري الفاظ، تسلطِ ناكافي بر معاني لغات و كنايات، بي توجهي به تعقيدهاي لفظي و جابجايي اركان جمله، استناد به چاپهاي غيرعلمي غزليات بيدل، ترجيح نسخه بدل هاي سست و غيرهنري بر نسخه بدل هاي قابل اعتماد و نكاتي ديگر كه بعضي از ابيات اين كتاب ارزشمند را در خور تجديد نظر كرده است. نگارندگان در اين مقاله كوشيده اند تا با نگاهي دقيق و ژرف به موارد ذكرشده، تفسيرهاي مستندتري از اين ابيات ارائه بدهند.

ldquo A Selection of Bidelrsquo s Sonnetsrdquo by Mohammad Kazem Kazemi, the Afghan poet and scholar, is a valuable and notable work which shows his good grasp of the thoughts, ideas and poems of Bidel. However, sometimes the narrow view, the misreading of verses, superficial understanding and relying on notsoacceptable premises make the criticism of this book inevitable. Among the points of criticism in this work are: not paying enough attention to imagery clusters or the network of images in Bidelrsquo s poems, not considering the artistic dimensions of the words, lack of sufficient mastery over the meaning of words and idioms, not paying attention to lexical metalepsis and displacement of parts of speech, referring to nonscientific publications of Bidelrsquo s sonnets, preferring weak and nonartistic variant readings to authentic and reliable ones and other points which necessitate the reinterpretation and reconsidering of several verses in this valuable work. Looking more deeply and precisely at the mentioned points, the authors of this article aim to provide more documented readings of these verses.
