كتاب بندرعباس و خليج فارس نگارش محمدعلي خان سديدالسلطنه كبابي، از جمله نوشته هاي حايز اهميت درباره ي استان هرمزگان است. اين كتاب كه در زمان مأموريت هاي اداري و كارگزاري سديدالسلطنه نوشته شده است؛ بدان سبب مهم تلقي مي شودكه وي با علم به عدم توجه حكومت مركزي بدين ايالت، سعي مي كند اطلاعات گرانبهايي را در مورد آن ارائه كند. اين داده ها كه محصول مشاهده ها و تحقيق هاي نگارنده است، جوانب گوناگوني از اقتصاد، جغرافيا، تاريخ و فرهنگ اين سرزمين را مورد توجه قرار مي دهد . در اين مقاله با رويكرد تحليل محتوا، تنها بخش اقتصادي از جلد اول اين كتاب مورد بررسي فرار مي گيرد؛ زيرا داده هاو اطلاعات اقتصادي ارائه شده در اين كتاب گواه بر استقلال و خودكفايي اين ولايت در زمان نويسنده است.جغرافياي جغرافياي سرزمينيِ متنوع اين ايالت كه از يك سو آب هاي آزاد است و از سوي ديگر خشكي با پهنه اي جلگه اي، كوهستاني و بياباني، موقعيت خاصي بدان بخشيده است. در كنار دريا و تجارت آبي، خشكي و كشاورزي نيز عاملي براي اشتغال و كسب درآمد به شمار مي رود. در نتيجه حكومت مركزي از ماليات هاي آن سود مي برد. نويسنده با ارائه ي اين اطلاعات به بيا موقعيت استراتژيك و اقتصادي اين منطقه مي پردازد و حكومت مركزي را نسبت به موقعيت اين خطه كه از آن غافل شده بود؛ آگاه مي سازد.

Bandare Abbas and the Persian Gulf written by Mohammad ndash Ali Khane Sadid Alsaltaneh Kababi is one of the significant writings about Hormozgan province. This book which was written at the time of Sadid Alsaltanehrsquo s administrative missions has been considered as an important book because though Sadid alsaltaneh was aware of the central statersquo s lack of consideration to this province, he tried to present some valuable information about it. This information which is the result of the writerrsquo s observations and researches is concerned with the different economical, geographical, historical, and cultural aspects of Hormozgan. Having a content analysis approach, this book focuses on only the economical part of the volume I of the book because the economical data and information presented in the book show Hormozganrsquo s independence and selfsufficiency at the time of the writer. Hormozgan has different geographies. From one hand, there is sea, on the other, there is mountain, desert, and plain. This feature gives special position to Hormozgan. In addition to sea and sea trading, land and farming are some important factors in business and money earning. As a result, the central state benefits from the taxes. Presenting this information, the writer of this paper tries to state Hormozganrsquo s economical and strategic position. So, he gives information about Hormozgan to the central state which has been ignorant about this arearsquo s position.
