Understanding the Book Illustrations Based on Relationship between Text and Picture

انگيزه‌هاي ايجاد تصوير در كتاب‌هاي داستاني نيازمند تعريف "خيال" در متن و تصوير است. در اينجا خيال به‌معني تصوير است. پس شناخت رابطه ميان "تصوير ادبي" و "تصوير تجسمي" بر اساس "معنا" مسيله اصلي اين تحقيق است كه به‌روش توصيفي- تحليلي و به‌شيوه جمع‌آوري اطلاعات به‌صورت كتابخانه‌اي انجام شده است. در اين مقاله با مروري بر نظريه‌هاي مختلف در رابطه ميان متن و تصوير، در ابتدا سعي كرديم نظريات "طبقه‌بندي"، "قياسي"، "هماهنگي و انحراف"، "مخاطب‌محور"و"تعامل" را توضيح دهيم و سپس بر اساس دو سوال تحقيق (1- نقش معنا در تصويرسازي كتاب‌هاي داستاني چگونه است؟ و2- تصوير گر عناصري (مواردي) را به متن داستاني كتاب مي‌تواند اضافه كند؟) به نقش "معنا" در رابطه ميان متن و تصوير پرداختيم و به اين نتيجه رسيديم كه قابليت‌هاي بياني تصوير به نوع ارتباط خاص ميان عوامل محسوس و نامحسوس بستگي دارد، چرا كه صورت به معناي تصوير حجاب معنا است پس تصويرگر بر آن است كه صورت معمول واقعيت را بشكافد و با رفتن به‌طرف شكل‌هاي تمثيلي و فرم‌هاي تجريدي بر اساس متنْ معناي پنهان در داستان را آشكار سازد. در اين رابطه نوع وابستگي تصويرسازي به لحن تصويري حاكم بر متن مي‌تواند بيان‌كننده قابليت بياني تصوير در نشان دادن معنا باشد و از طرف ديگر پركردن فضاهاي خالي متن از تصويرْ راه ديگري است كه تصويرساز در كتاب‌هاي داستاني در پيش مي‌گيرد.

The motivations for creating images in story books need the definition of “imagination” in text and image. Here imagination is synonymous with the image. So, understanding the relationship between “literary image” and “visual image”, based on “meaning”, is the main problem in this research, which has been done by using descriptive-analytical method, and the data were collected through library research. At first, in this paper, we tried to explain the theories of “categorization”, “analogical”, “harmony and deviation”, “audience oriented” and “interaction”, by reviewing the different theories on the relationship between text and image, and then based on these questions we focused on the role of “meaning” in the relationship between text and image: 1-How is the role of meaning in illustrating story books? 2- Which visual elements could be added to the text of story books by illustrators? We came to the conclusion that the expressive capabilities of images depend on the specific connection between the tangible and intangible factors. Because "form" as "image" hides "meaning", therefore the illustrator intends to split the usual form of reality and reveal the hidden meaning in the story by going toward the allegorical figures and abstract forms according to the text. Type of illustration‘s dependence on the visual tone of the text, can explain expressive capabilities of images in displaying meanings. On the other hand, filling the empty spaces of the text with the images is the other way of illustrating story books.
