نگاهي به پيامدگرايي قاعده‌نگر

در اخلاق هنجاري، نظريه‌هاي وظيفه‌گرايانه در مقابل نظريه‌هاي پيامدگرايانه قرار مي‌گيرند. درحالي‌كه پيامد‌گرايي، اعمال درست را براساس غايت‌هاي خير مشخص مي‌كند، وظيفه‌گرايي مدعي است، غايت‌ها و وسيله‌هاي نيل به آن‌ها به‌خودي‌خود با عمل مرتبط‌اند و پيوندي ناگسستني با يكديگر دارند؛ اما دراين‌بين، ويژگي‌هاي مهم ديگري نيز وجود دارند كه تعيين‌كننده درستي و نادرستي اعمال‌اند. پيامد‌گرايي به دو شاخه پيامد‌گرايي عمل‌نگر و پيامد‌گرايي قاعده‌نگر تقسيم مي‌شود و هردو در اين توافق دارند كه اعمال را بايد براساس نتيجه‌ها و پيامدهاي آن‌ها ارزيابي كرد؛ اما در اينكه معيار اصلي ارزيابي چيست، اختلاف دارند. براساس پيامد‌گرايي عمل‌نگر، داوري و ارزيابي شخصِ فاعل يا قضاوت خود فرد، ملاك تعيين‌كننده درستي يا نادرستي عمل است؛ اما براساس پيامدگرايي قاعده‌نگر، اصول كلي تعيين مي‌كنند كه انجام كدام عمل، درست است. در اين مقاله پيامد‌گرايي قاعده‌نگر و انتقادهاي وارد بر آن را بررسي مي‌كنيم.

In normative ethics, deontological theories are regarded against the consequential theories. While right acts are determined by good ends in Consequentialism, deontology claims that ends and the means to achieve them are intrinsically associated with the acts and have a strong link with each other. But there are other important features by which right and wrong acts are defined. Consequentialism is divided into two branches: act-based consequentialism and rule-based consequentialism. Both types agree that actions should be evaluated on the basis of the results and their consequences, but differ in the main criteria. According to the act-based consequentialism, oneʹs own judgment and assessment are criteria for determining which action is right or wrong; but on the basis of rule-based consequentialism, general rules determine which kinds of acts are morally right. In this article we will examine the rule-based consequentialism and the critiques applied to it.
