بررسي رابطه بين هوش هيجاني با رشد تحصيلي در بين دانشجويان

The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Academic Achievement among Students

هوش عاطفي به عنوان عامل موفقيت در بسياري از جنبه هاي زندگي مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. لذا اين تحقيق با هدف بررسي ارتباط بين هوش هيجاني و مؤلفه هاي آن با پيشرفت تحصيلي در دانشجويان انجام گرفت. اين پژوهش از نوع كاربردي بوده و از روش هاي توصيفي و همبستگي به گردآوري داده ها پرداخته شده است. براي جمع آوري داده هاي اين پژوهش از پرسشنامه ي استاندارد شده ي هوش هيجاني سيبريا شيرينگ و به عنوان شاخص پيشرفت تحصيلي از معدل دانشجويان استفاده شده است. جامعه ي آماري مورد مطالعه شامل 1829 نفر دانشجو بود. كه 358 نفر با استفاده از روش نمونه گيري خوشه اي از اين جامعه انتخاب گرديد. نتايج اين پژوهش نشان داد كه: 1 بين ميزان هوش هيجاني و تمام مؤلفه هاي آن بارشد تحصيلي همبستگي مثبت و معني داري وجود دارد، 2 ميانگين نمره ي دختران در مؤلفه هاي خودانگيزي و خودكنترلي هوش هيجاني از ميانگين نمره ي پسران در اين مؤلفه ها بيشتر است، 3 بين ميانگين نمره ي پسران و ميانگين نمره ي دختران در ديگر مؤلفه هاي هوش هيجاني تفاوتي معني داري وجود ندارد، 4 ميانگين نمره ي ميزان رشد تحصيلي پسران و دختران تفاوت معني داري ندارند. روندهاي كلي نشان مي دهند كه علاوه بر  توانايي هاي شناختي، با آموزش مهارت هاي هوش هيجاني و پرورش مؤلفه هاي آن در دانشجويان مي توان مهارت هاي تحصيلي آنان را به ميزان چشم گيري افزايش داد.

This study investigates the relationship between emotional intelligence and its components with academic growth of students. This research is practical and uses descriptive and inferential statistics techniques to examine the hypotheses of this study. The data used in this study were collected using questionnaires.  A selfmade questionnaire was developed to collect personal and demographic data. Further, SibriaShrink's questionnaire was adapted to measure emotional intelligence and academic growth of the students. The study population consisted of 1829 students majoring in government and industrial management at the Islamic Azad University of Shoushtar. The sample consisted of 358 students that were selected using the cluster sampling technique. The analysis of the data using descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson's correlation and comparing the averages) showed that: 1. emotional intelligence and its components correlate significantly and positively with the academic growth of the students, 2. The average scores of motivation and selfcontrol components of emotional intelligence of the female students were higher than those of the male students, respectively, 3. The average scores of the other emotional intelligence components of the students did not differ significantly between the male and female groups, 4. the average academic growth of the male group and the female group did not differ significantly, and 5. general trends suggest that the academic growth of the students can be increased significantly by training them in enhancing their emotional intelligence.
