بررسي ارتباط هوش هيجاني با انگيرش تحصيلي و تعيين فاكتورهاي پيش بيني كننده آنها در نمونه‌اي از دانشجويان علوم پزشكي

The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Academic Motivation and Determination of Their Predictive Factors Among a Sample of Medical Students

مقدمه: هوش هيجاني يكي از موضوع هاي اساسي در حيطه روانشناسي است كه بر جنبه هاي مختلف زندگي از قبيل پيشرفت تحصيلي نقش بسزايي دارد. پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسي ارتباط هوش هيجاني با انگيرش تحصيلي و تعيين فاكتورهاي پيش بيني كننده آن در دانشجويان علوم پزشكي انجام شد. روش كار: در اين مطالعه توصيفي همبستگي (دي تا اسفند ماه 1394)، 402 نفر از دانشجويان از 5 دانشكده دانشگاه علوم پزشكي قزوين به روش نمونه گيري سهميه اي در مطالعه شركت كردند. داده ها با استفاده از پرسشنامه اطلاعات دموگرافيك، پرسشنامه هوش هيجاني برادبريگريوز و پرسشنامه انگيزش پيشرفت تحصيلي والرند جمع آوري شدند. به منظور تجزيه و تحليل داده ها از شاخص هاي توصيفي و تحليلي از جمله ضريب همبستگي پيرسون و مدل رگرسيون چندگانه در نرم افزار آماري 22SPSS ;استفاده شد. يافته ها: نتايج نشان داد كه رابطه مثبت و معني داري بين هوش هيجاني و انگيزش تحصيلي در ميان دانشجويان وجود دارد (0/01>r- /464 ،P). علاوه بر اين، زنان دانشجو انگيزش موفقيت بالاتري نسبت به مردان را گزارش كردند. نتايج حاصل از مدل رگرسيون چندگانه نشان داد كه هوش هيجاني به طور مثبت و معني داري انگيرش تحصيلي را پيش بيني مي كند (0/01>β- 0/464 ،P). هيچ كدام از متغييرهاي زمينهاي مورد بررسي نتوانستند هوش هيجاني را پيش بيني كنند. نتيجه گيري: نتايج مطالعه حاضر نشان داد كه بين هوش هيجاني و انگيزش تحصيلي ارتباط وجود دارد. از اين رو برنامه ريزي صحيح و ارائه خدمات آموزشي مناسب به منظور افزايش هوش هيجاني و در نتيجه تقويت انگيزش موفقيت لازم به نظر مي رسد.

Introduction: Emotional intelligence is one of the main issues in the psychological area which plays an important role in various aspects of life such as achievement motivation. This study aimed to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic motivation and also to study the determinant factors of these main variables in medical sciences students. Methods: In this descriptive correlational study (January to March 2016), 402 students were recruited from five schools of Qazvin University of Medical Sciences by quota sampling method. Data were collected using demographic questionnaire, Bradberry & Greaves Emotional Intelligence and Vallerand Academic Motivation Scale. In order for data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics like Pearson&rsquo;s correlation and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS version 22. Results: The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and academic motivation among students (r =0.464, P < 0.01). Moreover, female students reported higher academic motivation than males. The results of multiple regression model indicated that emotional intelligence significantly and positively predicted academic motivation (&beta; = 0.646, P < 0.001). None of the variables could predict the emotional intelligence. Conclusions: Results of the present study show that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and academic motivation. Therefore, proper planning and providing appropriate educational services are recommended to enhance emotional intelligence and strengthen motivation for academic achievement.
